Thanks to DSI² (Digital Screen
Imaging), the exposure heads
move continuously during the exposure over
the printing plate. This “scrolling” technology
prevents exposure breaks (to move the

With the basysPrint technology, you can
continue using your inexpensive UV printing
plates, your existing processor and
chemistries – keeping your disposal costs
low. After all, they process absolutely
identical plates. Normally
this is your well understood
and currently used
printing plate.
Easy integration
with 1-bit TIFF
Every UV-Setter can be integrated into
existing workflows. Continue using your
tried and tested UV-sensitive printing
plate – no need to experiment with new
plates. In addition, every RIP system
exports 1-bit-TIFFs ready for exposure,
so the UV-Setter can be
integrated into any prepress environment.
Flexibility of
a flatbed system
The flatbed system of the UV-Setter permits
exposure of a wide variety of plate
sizes. When using smaller formats, it is
possible to image several plates simultaneously.
Another advantage of the flatbed
system is the capability to replace the
pin bar in order to use different register
systems. Upon request, the flatbed can
also be fitted with register pins or 3-pin
plate alignment.

Two models for different demands
The UV-Setter Series 7 is the perfect platesetter for handling plates
from small formats up to the format class 4 (B1). This 8-up exposure
system is available in different grades of automation.

large format market – handling plate formats up to class 10. Use
it for applications as diverse as bill boards, packaging, posters
