Research experience :
i) Role of endocannabinoids, uric acid etc. on the release of HMGB1( High
mobility group box 1) protein, a recently identified pro-inflammatory cytokine
and tissue damaged signal molecule, by monocytes/macrophages, endothelial
cells, vascular smooth muscle cells etc. as well as mechanisms of suppression of
inflammatory cytokine(LPS, TNF-a etc.)-induced HMGB1 and other
inflammatory mediators ( iNOS, COX-2, matrix metalloproteinases etc.) release
from monocytes/macrophages and endothelial cells and in vivo (mice models)
using different agents.
