SAE International is very excited to convene the
premier automotive transportation electronics
conference, Convergence 2010. This year’s event
is historic in many ways. In 2009, SAE acquired
the Convergence Electronics Conference from
the Convergence Transportation Electronics
Association (CTEA), thus expanding SAE’s portfolio
of programs, products and services in the area of
mobility electronics.
The partnership of Ford Motor Company and
Microsoft Corporation as our 2010 conference host
organizations is also historic and very reflective
of our ever-changing industry and the need to
continually foster collaboration and innovation.

From the beginning of the Convergence Conference
concept in 1974, the intent has always been to deliver the value of electronics
to the mobility industry in order to satisfy the end-user or customer – a goal
that remains constant to this day.
From the keynotes to the ever-popular panel discussions, the technical
sessions, exhibition and networking opportunities, this year’s event is packed
with the people, information, technology and innovation that you have come to
expect at Convergence.
We are happy to announce a new addition to the program: Chat with the
Experts. We encourage attendees to ask questions, share ideas and solutions
during this interactive, small group environment that is intended to promote a
free-exchange of ideas.
