Hospital Supporters Golf for a Cause
Canoe Brook Country Club was the backdrop to this year’s Saint Barnabas Medical Center Golf
Outing which raised more than $450,000 for hospital programs and services. Sunny skies and a
cool breeze greeted golfers which included members of the medical staff and community
supporters.
A lively 50/50 auction raised vital funds for the Medical Center’s Child Life Program which provides
developmental support and art and music therapy for children hospitalized at Saint Barnabas.
Golfers dug deep to help sustain this important, much-loved program. We are grateful to the many
individuals and corporations that are committed to supporting quality, compassionate care. We are
especially pleased to recognize these organizations that went the extra mile for patient care.

When asked why she supports Saint Barnabas
Medical Center, Audrey Bartner of Verona responded,
“it is an exceptional institution that provides the
community with an outstanding level of care.” A
dedicated philanthropist, patron of the arts, and fine
artist, Mrs. Bartner said “the physicians and staff of
Saint Barnabas are to be admired for their dedication
and knowledge, especially in the area of cancer care.”
We at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Foundation
are not only grateful to Mrs. Bartner for her kind words
and generosity, we are always glad to see her at
community events. Mrs. Bartner stated “the
Foundation enriches the community by sponsoring
wonderful speakers like Meredith Vieira, Suzy Welch,
and Bob Woodruff. These are important opportunities
for the community and it is a pleasure to support Saint
Barnabas by attending.”
Mrs. Bartner has long been committed to volunteerism
and philanthropy and serves as a Trustee on the
Women’s Association of the NJPAC, the Paper Mill
Playhouse, and the NJ Symphony. We are proud to
