In this newsletter edition, we would like to inform you about some year-end product news.
SANTEC now distributor of Pivot3 high-end storage solutions
As of now, you can order high-end storage solutions of Pivot3, the American specialist for
storage of video data and virtualisation.
The need for reliable and optimised storage systems grows with the increasing
requirements for video surveillance, e.g. more and more cameras with increased resolution need to be recorded at
increased derivative times. The Pivot3 MiniBanks and CloudBanks meet the requirements for availability, bandwidth,
capacity and reliability by a RAID system which can be dynamically expanded over time. No matter whether you
have a small system with 30 days video data and 20 TB storage or a large-scale project with 1,200 cameras and 500
TB storage: Pivot3 systems save and administer data with up to now unknown reliability. At the same time, costs for
power and cooling are reduced.

SanStore-MMX – The successor to the MM series with H.264 codec
Step by step, the SanStore MM series will be replaced by recorders of the MMX series.
Recorders of the MMX series are technically enhanced and provide H.264 codec (which saves storage capacities), a
fast internal processor and enhanced software functions. The recorders of the MMX series look the same as the
ones of the MM series.
SanStore-16MMX-1TB is the first recorder in this new product line.
It has 16 channels and a built-in 1 TB HDD. SanStore-4MMX-1TB
(4 channels) and SanStore-8MMX-1TB (8 channels) will be
available in Q1/2011.
Recorders of the MMX series feature the following, compared to the
previous MM series:
Hardware:
Video codec H.264 instead of MPEG-4
Additional HDMI output (1080p)
Faster network card and faster data transfer via LAN
Software:
Auto port forwarding
Log list backup
The new recorders of the MMX series are available at the same price as the ones of the MM series.

They are also compatible with the SanView software.

VDC speed dome with high resolution
SANTEC speed dome VDC-285ID will be replaced by VDC-295ID.
VDC-295ID has the following special features:
Increased resolution of 580 TVL (VDC-285ID: 480 TVL)
Increased zoom area of 22x optical and 16x digital
(VDC-285ID: 22x optical, 11x digital)
Enhanced WDR function
3D noise reduction
At the same time, the corresponding dome housings are equipped with the new dome, reflected
by the part number:
VDC-295AIOD-WM (including wall bracket)
VDC-295AIOD-WBJB (including wall bracket and junction box)
Prices will not be changed compared to the previous models. These items are available in our webshop as of now.
