TRANSMISSION
IP-over-coax transmission technology
Transmitting mega pixel network cameras via a coax cable.
The new SANTEC IP-over-coax technology enables you to transmit signals from a mega
pixel IP camera via a coax cable (RG59) over a distance of up to 200 m in an easy and costeffective
way. Existing video surveillance systems - which are based on coax cables and
analogue CCTV cameras - can be converted to transmitting state-of-the-art mega pixel network
cameras by using the new SANTEC SNE-CIPC-110A adapter. This can be done fast
and without any major investments. You can continue to use the existing coax cables, i.e. a
costly rewiring of network cables is not necessary.
Network adapter SNE-CIPC-110A has specifically been designed for transmitting video data
via a coax cable. The adapter is attached between the network camera’s Ethernet connector
and the coax cable’s BNC plug. It is not necessary to configure the adapter or to have a
separate power supply. Hence a quick and low cost solution is provided. The 4-channel network
switch SNE-SCIP-410A is ideal for this transmission technology and doesn’t need to
be configured either. SNE-SCIP-410A has four BNC inputs for four cameras. Via the
Ethernet output, the switch is directly connected to a 10/100 MBit network.
Features:
• Easy, fast and cost-effective conversion of
coax-based systems to IP mega pixel
• Existing coax cable can be used, no rewiring necessary
• No additional configuration required (Plug&Play)
• Range: Up to 200 m cable length
