1. The purpose of this letter is to obtain authority for the call up of reservists, as well as
financial authority to perform (note for which purpose the call up is required, eg
participate in a provincial/ area/ station level crime prevention operation(s)/
roadblock(s)/ policing of a major event(s)/ on date & time or month: (Will depend if
application is made for a specific date or for a specific month). This is
necessitated in supporting the South African Police Service in ensuring high levels of
safety and security (provide motivation). (Attach operational plan for the information of
the Provincial Commissioner).
2. The following number of reservists from the following stations (amend if only
applicable to one station) will be called up and paid to perform the above function(s)
(Attach namelist) .

4.1. the call up and payment of reservists is essential;
