KARL STORZ 3D technology features very good image quality and provides

The second generation of VITOM ® telescopes for visualization in minimal
access open surgery
The VITOM ® system offers an innovative and ergonomic way to visualize minimal
access open procedures in FULL HD quality. The VITOM ® telescope is an
exoscope, which – unlike an endoscope – is placed at a distance of 25-60 cm
above the surgical field using a holding system rather than being introduced into
the body.
The first VITOM ® telescope was launched in 2010 and has been successfully used
for surgeries in ENT, gynecology, urology as well as in cardiovascular, spine,
plastic, and pediatric surgery.
With the second generation, the range
of VITOM ® telescopes is expanded by
a 0° version and a 90° version. The
new VITOM ® telescopes offer more
choices to enable surgeons to select
the best and most comfortable solution
for each procedure. With its high depth
of field, optimal enlargement, good
contrast, and excellent color display,
the VITOM ® system offers the ideal
basis for the best possible display and
documentation in FULL HD quality. The
