With the innovative gesture control “MI Report online”, KARL STORZ became
one of “365 Landmarks” in 2012. After earning the same distinction in 2009,
KARL STORZ has now received this coveted award for outstanding product
innovation for the second time.
MI-Report online is an OR information
system for intraoperative access to
information in a variety of display forms
and formats. The goal is touchless
efficiency: With this pioneering system,
surgeons can access, control, and
modify patient-related data, X-ray and
imaging findings, documents, and
videos directly from the operating table
using intuitive hand gestures.
The dynamic spirit of the globally active company is particularly evident in its
activities on international markets: The KARL STORZ strategy of providing
intensive local customer care has been consistently continued in the past two
years. In addition to establishing various subsidiaries in Europe (2010) and Asia
(2012), the marketing office in Brazil plays a strategically important role for the
company and its position on the South American market.
In 2012, the Russian KARL STORZ subsidiary in Moscow celebrated the
first birthday of its state-of-the-art showroom, which introduces the newest
KARL STORZ technology to customers throughout Russia. The proven concept
of presenting the full product range to customers at a visitor center and
complementing this experience with workshops and presentations is highly
successful in Russia as well. With more than 1,000 visitors in 2012, the numbers
speak for themselves.
In 2013, KARL STORZ will clearly continue to stand for progress and consistency
and successfully continue its long company history.
