to locate and recover re-enterlng satellites. It was equipped<br />
with a large direc"tl0n finder on top of the forward fuselage and<br />
the aircraft cargo area contalned satell1te recovery gear.<br />
Tests disclosed the JC-1<strong>30</strong>B range was approxlm.a.tely 3.5 percent<br />
less than that of the C-l<strong>30</strong>B. 31 Test personnel recommended<br />
the same cruise speed for the JC-1<strong>30</strong>B as that of the C.. 1<strong>30</strong>B but<br />
noted it required five percent more pO'.!ler to mainta.in the JC<br />
1<strong>30</strong>B cruise speed due to 1ts modifications.<br />
Loads which resulted in an aj,rcraft center of gravity<br />
posttion of 32.5 percent or greater produced light longitudinal<br />
