Ammonium (Liberty)<br />
Liberty herbicide was applied at various rates<br />
to non-Liberty Link canola to simulate drift<br />
onto susceptible canola varieties.<br />
Glufosinate Ammonium<br />
symptoms: 5% <strong>of</strong> a 1.08 L/<br />
acre rate<br />
Symptoms were not observed at lower<br />
rates. Symptoms first appeared six days after<br />
herbicide application. Symptoms included<br />
mottling and/or marginal chlorosis <strong>of</strong><br />
contacted leaves. No effect was observed<br />
on new leaves emerging after application.<br />
Glufosinate Ammonium<br />
symptoms: 10% <strong>of</strong> a 1.08 L/<br />
acre rate<br />
Symptoms appeared four days after<br />
application and included chlorosis and<br />
necrosis on contacted leaves. Leaves<br />
emerging after application were chlorotic and<br />
no further plant development occurred.
