from t he owner's shop, at corner of Lake and James
Streets, entrance being effected by forcing the door
with a chisel,-5 caddies of tobacco (about 80Ih.), 2
of Victory, 2 of Deruy, 1 of a mixture of Two Seas
and twist; 2 dozen Bengal razors, quite new; 200
pa.ckets of Cameo cigarettes, It boxes (75 packets)
of Milo cigarettes, 2 boxes (100 packets) of Old Judge
cigarettes, 6lh. of Capstan tobacco in l oz. and 2oz.
tins, 1 box (H60) CavanI' cigars. :250 La Regina

It is now stated that Harvey was manager or
secretary to three or four mines in the Coolgardie
or Kalgoorlie district, and that he left his employment,
taking about .£400 o)f the company's money
with him.
Inquiry is requested as to the whereabouts of
ROYAL E. GRIDLEY, wanted for forgery at Newark,
New J ersey, U.S.A. Description- Age 24, but looks
to be about 30 years old, height 5ft. lOin., weight
about 1451bs., hazel eyes, dark, sunburnt complexion,
hair brown and fluffy over forehead, always neat in
appearance, rather dressy and fashionable. Information

before F. S. OIiver, J.P., Acting Coroner, on the
body of Joseph E. Coleman, who was found dead on
the 30th ult., with a bullet wounJ in the forehead.
Verdict-" Suicide while in a state of temporary

Pinjarra.-On the 3rd inst., at the Court Rouse,
before C. Lovegl'ove, R.M., Coroner, on the body
of Robert Burns, who was found dead in his bed
at Beambalup on the 2nd inst. Verdict-" Manslaughter

Northam.-On the 5th and 6th inst., at the Court
House, before J . Madden, R.M., Coroner, on the
body of Robert Kirkman, who was found dead on
the 5th inst., with a gunshot wound in the face.
Verdict-" Suicide while in a state of temporary

K alyool'lie.-On the 4th inst., at the Court House,
before F . Hare, R.l\i., Coroner, on the body of James
Rowe. who was killed while repairing machinery at
the Great Boulder Gold Mine on the 30th ult.

Station, before George Bellingham, J.P., Acting
Coroner, on the body of William Morrison Glass,
who died on the 8th inst. Verdict-" Death from
natural causes." -B1/4847.
P erth.- On the 3rd and 8th inst., at Jacoby's
Hall, before Dr. T. H. Lovegrove, J.P., Coroner, 'on
the body of William Conno11y, who was found
drowned at Cottlesloe Beach on the 30th ult. Verdict-"

Perth.- On the 4th and 9th inst., at Jacoby's
Hall, before Dr. T. H. Lovegove, J.P., Coroner, on
the body of James Francis Kirk, who was killed on
the 3rd in st. by being ruu over by a train. Verdict
-" Suicide while in a state of temporary insanity."

16 hands higb, branded )'!.... on near shoulder, white
star on forehead.
Kalgoorlie.-Stolen during the night of the 4th
inst., from owner's premisE's.-1 grey gelding, 16
hands high, 8 years old. branded X near shoulder,
has large scars on head from being knocked about in
truck, also several fresh wounds under right leg, scars
on back of fetlock of left leg, and scars on each side
of back size of a shilling j the property of Fredk. VV.

Kalgoorlie.-On the 5th inst., 1 jet black mare, 16
hands high, aged, small scar on wither, branded like
~ near shoulder, two white hind feet; the property
of Alfred Lewis.-A1/6264, 8th December, 1897.
Ooolgardie.-Sold, on the 11th inst .. by order of J.
M. Finncrty, R.M.,- l draught grey mare branded 0
near shoulder.
Southern Oross.-Sold, on the 13th inst., by order
of Victor Black,R.M.,- 1 bay pony mare rising 4 years
old, both hind feet white, branded like Z c.... near
ribs, and ~ near shoulder, about 13t hands high.
