Special Inquiry.<br />

Officers <strong>in</strong> charge of Sub-distncts will cause <strong>in</strong>- /<br />

auiries to be made relative to Henry Brocklesby,<br />

exp., late Reg. <strong>No</strong>. 9090, hav<strong>in</strong>g been married <strong>in</strong><br />

Western Australia. This man left the Colony for<br />

London per Bonnie Lassie on the 25th August, 1878,<br />

and prior to his departure, is believed to have been<br />

twice married, viz., <strong>in</strong> Bunbury and Geraldton, and<br />

that both wives are still liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> this Colony. Information<br />

to Detective Ofiice, with particulars of<br />

marriage (if any) and whereabouts of female contract<strong>in</strong>g<br />

parties.<br />

Officers <strong>in</strong> charge of Sub-districts will cause <strong>in</strong>quiries<br />

to be made, and notify all Banks, Stores, and<br />

Pubhc-houses <strong>in</strong> their Sub-districts, relative to a<br />

cheque, on the W. A. Bank, Bunbury, dated 1st July,<br />

1881, drawn by W. Pearce Clifton, R.M., Government<br />

account, favor P.C. Bovell, or order, amount<br />

ISs. 6d. The above cheque, together with a " Pauf<br />

per" Account Sheet, was enclosed <strong>in</strong> an ofiicial<br />

envelope, franked by W. Pearce Clifton, Eesident<br />

.f Magistrate, Bunbury, and forwarded through Bun­<br />

' hury Post Office to P.C. Bovell, Bridgetown, on the<br />

4th July last, but has not reached its dest<strong>in</strong>ation.<br />

Toodyay Valley, under engagement to Mr. Charles E.<br />

Dempster.<br />

John Smith, exp., late 7857, and report anyth<strong>in</strong>g<br />

that may be known by the Police respect<strong>in</strong>g him.<br />

Description: slight, age 38, Sft. 2<strong>in</strong>. high, red hair,<br />

grey eyes, long visage, fair complexion, 3 r<strong>in</strong>gs and<br />

blue marks near left thumb, scar right side of up>per<br />
