Byrd Mass for 5 Voices<br />
Schubert Mass in G<br />
The <strong>workshop</strong> will be<br />
led by Jeff <strong>St</strong>ewart. Jeff<br />
studied at the Guildhall<br />
School of Music and<br />
Drama as a singer,<br />
winning the Harold<br />
Rosenthal Award for<br />
outstanding achievement<br />
on the Opera<br />
Course. This led him on<br />
to an international<br />
career as a Tenor in<br />
both Opera and concert,<br />
which has included<br />
appearances all around<br />
the world. He combines<br />
this with a busy<br />
teaching practice and in<br />
2005 he became a<br />
professor of singing at<br />
the Royal College of<br />
Music.<br />

We sing some of the<br />
most fantastic choral<br />
music there is. Our<br />
2010-11 programme<br />
included Durufle<br />
Requeim, Handel Dixit<br />
Dominus, Haydn<br />
Nelson Mass and<br />
Poulenc Gloria.<br />
We give three or four<br />
performances a year<br />
usually with an<br />
orchestra and with<br />
young professional<br />
soloists starting out on<br />
their careers.<br />
Plans for 2012<br />
include Bach Christmas<br />
Oratorio, Vaughan<br />
Williams Shakespeare<br />
Songs and Three<br />
Madrigals, Elgar Part<br />
Songs and Finzi Lo, the<br />
Full Final Sacrifice.
