It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings to everyone attending
Art Toronto 2010, the 11th Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF).
This annual event — which showcases the work of established and emerging
artists from across Canada and around the world — shines a light on Toronto and
reinforces its well deserved reputation as a growing international centre for culture.
Through its many exhibits, workshops and artistic performances, the fair offers
curators, critics, collectors and the general public a unique opportunity to appreciate
and celebrate art in all its forms.
I would like to commend the organizers and sponsors for putting together this
spectacular and inspiring event. I would also like to thank the many volunteers
who have contributed to make this fair such a resounding success. I am certain that
patrons will take satisfaction in knowing that, with their attendance, they are also
supporting some of Toronto’s most popular non profit museums of art.
