Biometric Solutions 

Biometric Identification & Data Capture 

As the term implies this identity is based on the measurement of some unique feature in living entities, normally 

human beings. We all have unique feature which can be captured and used as comparisons for identification, 

e.g. finger prints and Iris patterns. 

Finger Print (Touch Screen Solution) 

Finger print readers are now very common, and used in a variety of applications. 

Many laptop computers now have built in finger tip readers as a security 

device either instead of or as well as the normal password protection. 

Although fingerprint readers is an excellent cost effective security solution, 

they have been known to a achieve only 95% to 98% identification. To 

enable the reader of fingers at higher rate, many companies elect to reduce 

the standard threshold of 20 prints. Thus will enable a greater error but 

more throughput. 

Finger Print (Touch Less Solution) 

This solution is 100% effective and have proven itself to be the most reliable finger print reader on the 

market. It uses triple camera and 23 LED‘s in a unique touch less, 3D fingerprint capture technology. It‘s 

a fast and easy capture of rolled equivalent (Nail to Nail Images). This technology eliminates all hygienic 

issues because of its touch less reader system. This system is available from SOFAB and its partners. 

Palm Vasculature 

The pattern of veins in the hand is a unique feature, which can be captured by "photographing" 

reflected infra red light. Some readers require contact whilst others can read the palm from a few 

inches, making them ideal where sterile conditions are needed such as electronic clean rooms or 

hospitals. This security solution is also considered as a non hygienic solution with 20% greater 

failure rate 

Iris Recognition 

The patterns within the iris are also a unique feature of every individual and can be used as proof of identity. The 

system is normally used on entry devices to very high security installations. They can be used in isolation or often 

in combination with finger print or palm print devices. It‘s probably one of the most reliable security solutions at a 

very high price tag. 

Facial Recognition 

The relationship between various standard measurements within the human face, when taken over a series of 

standard reference points is rare enough to be used as individual identity with a very high degree of certainty. 

While most providers have failed, this 3D security solution has been perfected by only a hand full of companies. 

We advise many customers to be very careful in the selection of a security solution provider for their facility.

Handwriting Recognition 

In the simplest instance this can be used as a proof of identity by matching a signature against a known standard. 

Increasingly sophisticated systems can be used to capture data into database systems in a readable 

form by "translating" handwriting into typed text, with ever increasing accuracy, often using adaptive computing 

techniques. 

Speech Recognition 

As with handwriting, speech recognition was originally used forensically and for identification 

purposes only. Increasingly it is being used as a means of direct entry to computer systems, via 

"Voice to Text" systems, either directly via microphones or even by plugging in personal dictation 

devices. Adaptive technologies increase the accuracy of such systems.

webEntry II Pro takes advantage of web-based technologies to provide a low-cost, easy to install and easy to manage access control 

system, as well offering a suite of additional features including ID badging, graphical alarms display and control of external systems 

such as CCTV. 

Totally web administered, no software or dedicated PC is required. Customer simply connect the webEntry II IP Controller to a network 

allowing them to manage up to 64 doors, print ID cards, run reports and view alarms using a standard Microsoft IE web 

browser on any networked PC or laptop. webEntry II Pro advises customers on the status of activity at their facility by sending notifications 

of alarms/events via email, PDA or mobile phone.

The webEntry II controller uniquely combines a Web server interface and access control functionalities into one control panel

Advanced Card Reader Support 

Using the DCM 150 door controller, webEntry II 

Pro supports most third-party access control read 

heads conforming to the physical Wiegand/Mag 

Stripe (data/data, clock/data) interfaces. Advanced 

reader support is provided using the CEM range of 

intelligent card readers (readers with in-built database) 

such as InfoProx readers offering proximity 

card only or card plus PIN control. webEntry 

II Pro also supports third party Biometric 

technology. 

Reporting 

Operators can run transaction reports on system 

events via their web browser or setup webEntry 

II Pro to email regular reports to designated system 

users. A roll call report can quickly be produced, 

providing a real time count of zone occupancy. 

External Equipment Control webEntry II Pro 

allows a cardholder to activate an item of equipment, 

such as an Intruder Alarm Panel or exterior 

light, by presenting their ID card at a preconfigured 

reader. 

Event Driven Actions - CCTV 

webEntry II Pro can integrate to external equipment 

that accepts command text messages by serial 

interface. A typical setup would be using webEntry 

II Pro with a CCTV switch to select appropriate 

cameras to display when certain events occur at a 

card reader such as ‗Door Forced‘, ‗Open Alarm‘ or 

‗Duress PIN‘ code used. 

Event/Alarm Management 

webEntry II Pro has a number of features that 

ensures all events such as alarms can be quickly and 

easily managed. 

Real Time Event Display (RTED) 

This display provides a real time view of all card 

transactions and alarm events as they happen in a 

split screen window. RTED can stay open on the 

users desktop even when logged out of the webEntry 

II Pro controller. 

Remote Notification via SMTP/SMS 

- Event notifications such as alarms can be sent via 

SMTP to pagers, cell phones or email accounts 

ensuring all alarms are quickly responded to (subject 

to local conditions and service providers). 

Graphical Alarm Event Display 

- AED allows operators to view transaction and 

alarm events as they happen in text or graphical 

maps form and even view live footage from IP cameras 

associated with readers.

Graphical Alarm Event Display (AED) 

Alarm Event Display (AED) is the visual event 

display of the system with operators able to view 

alarm events as they happen in text or graphical 

form via their web browser. Up to four userdefined 

graphical maps can be added as zones with icons 

representing the webEntry II controller and 

readers, placed in their relative positions in the 

zones. As an alarm occurs the information is displayed 

in the Event List and also by the Device 

icon flashing to show the alarm type. The display 

automatically switches to the map the device is 

placed on. If an IP camera has been associated with 

the device the user can even click on a camera link 

associated with the device icon to bring up live 

footage from the camera. 

ID Badge Production 

webEntry II Pro comes with an integrated pass 

production facility allowing for a low cost means 

of capturing cardholder images and designing/ 

printing ID badges. The capture process couldn‘t 

be easier; JPEG images are simply transferred from 

a users PC or digital camera and saved against the 

cardholder‘s personnel details. Note: due to database 

restrictions the number of personnel records 

that can have an image associated is 750.

Is DECM compatible with Data Ocean‘s payroll package Venus ? 

No. However, a low level interface could be developed, i.e. a script that outputs information to a file, 

this file can then be imported into Data Ocean. 

How do you account for business travel ? 

You could record this information in a User Defined Field(s) in the Personnel cardholder screen. 

They will want to transfer staff between sites (this will be possible when they link all the sites together) ? 

Using our “Standard Systems Link” solution, you can enroll a cardholder in one site (with its own 

database server) and their details can be automatically sent to other sites in the link (with their 

own database servers). 

Can you set an option for eligible or not eligible for overtime ? 

No. 

Can you set a grace time for late starters ? 

No, if an employee swipes in late then the letters LS (Late Start) will appear next to their name, 

likewise for an employee who swipes out early, they will have the letter EF (Early Finish) next to

Can you set employee groups so that you can change shift times once only and the whole group will change ? 

Yes, You select the company or group to report on, the employees within the company or groups 

and then you set your shift times. These shift times will apply to all of the employees.

night time group, will have other shift. But if you use one group, you are able to set one shift per 

group, In this case, you set a start time and a finish time for your working day. However, when

Integrated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet physical transceiver 

(EPHY) to our processor. If a signal converter is use to 

convert the RS-232 or 485 signal to TCP/IP the max 

speed is 115 K/B compare with 100 M/B for the integrated 

EPHY. Software driver will be required to intercept 

the RS-232 or 485 protocols to be converted to IP 

protocol. This not only slows down the system but 

reduce the reliability of the system. 

Swann IP system uses our own proprietary protocol. 

This is more secure unlike most of the TCP/IP converter 

(485 to IP) protocol which can be obtained from 

the respective manufacturer. 

Swann IP controller uses the client/server environment 

to communicate with the server PC. Communication 

between the Swann IP controller and the computer will 

only happen when there is data in the controller. This 

reduces the network traffic compare with other system 

where data from the controller is poll from the computer. 

So the computer will try to check with each 

controller in the system to see if there is any data to be 

poll. This cause the network o be congested.

Parking Lot Payment Systems 

The Entry Control Tower (ECT) is designed to provide all the normal functions required in a typical entry 

lane for parking, including: 

Transient Parkers issued a bar-coded ticket. 

Monthly Parkers use their card, tag or bar code decal. 

Built-in Intercom for HELP (HW,TE or IP). 

Instructions in up to two languages to users. 

Control all devices & activities in lane. 

Lot Full, CCTV camera & many other options. 

The Entry Control Tower (ECT) is designed for heavy duty, rust-free operation. Two large doors, both 

opening in the front, provide full access to all components and also allow locating the tower next to a wall 

or in tight curb locations in a garage. Blank tickets on a roll are printed in real time with all relevant data 

thereby reducing inventory headaches and ordering delays. 

The ECT uses the XPIP control panel for all its operations and is therefore fully compatible with all the 

other devices in the AMWATCH family of system. Using the standard TCP/IP protocol, the ECT connects 

easily into the existing LAN infrastructure providing providing campus-wide communication and control. 

A card reader can be built-in the front panel allowing regular/monthly parking customers to use the card. 

The ECT can also easily interface with the RFID tag (passive or active) or bar code decal or any other access 

control device. Anti pass-back and other features are all included in the standard system. A four line, 

backlit display can provide instructions in up to two languages at every step. Voice instructions can also be 

added as an option. The XPIP control panel monitors every activity, provide all the interlocks, counts all 

traffic and works with the capacity control system to provide Lot Full sign control at the entry lane. Three 

different intercom options are available to meet the needs of all field conditions-conventional intercom, 

Tele Entry based intercom and IP based intercom. The ECT is rugged, yet lightweight so a single person 

can handle it, saving costs in installation. ECT connects to the existing Ethernet loop, saving cabling costs.

The parking ticket dispenser can issue parking tickets or accept special cards eg: IC Card & ID Card like monthly pass

When used on light doors, remove the

patented dead-locking latch. For a 

proper operation, place lock at a distance

ZRS-AC-525 is a highly advanced networked control panel that offers unified Access Control and Digital Video Recording at MPEG-4 format and 

web server components. This fully featured Access Controller manages 30,000 users across two doors (expandable up to 4 doors). The digital 

Video Server component supports 2 analog cameras with PTZ, and voice, web server and a local DVR using USB storage device. This cost effective 

2-in-1 cuts down integration and installation costs and is easy to configure and operate. 


The system features a powerful ARM9-based architecture with DSP, which is 

a leading technology video chipset including a web server and DVR running 

on Embedded Linux OS. All panel features can be accessed with a single 

Ethernet port and IP Address, and each panel is expandable by an additional 2- 

door module (ZRS-MD-D02) or 8/4 input/output module (ZRS-MD-IO84). 

USB storage devices can be connected for high capacity local DVR on the 

edge. Multiple panels are managed using our modular and scalable client / 

server software ZRS-AS-525 AxTrax for Access Control Management and 

ViTrax for NVR Management, storage and Surveillance.

ZRS-PX-33 are general purpose high performance 22mm panel-mounted Normally Open (N.O) Piezoelectric switches suited for 

long-life and rugged use applications. 

Made from AL6061 Aluminum alloy material with Type II anodization, the units are available in 7 colors. The ZRS-PX-33 is antivandal, 

water and weather resistant and can be operated with fingers, gloves and through elastomeric overlays. 


ZRS-PX-33 is a heavy duty, no-sparking, nonmagnetic, corrosion resistant,

The switch features solid state Piezoelectric switch technology generating
