THE ADULT CONGENITAL HEART PROGRAM
Ochsner Health System has a tradition of
excellence in caring for adult and pediatric
patients with heart and vascular illnesses.
Ochsner Heart and Heart Surgery
is ranked in the top 25 hospitals
nationally by U.S. News and
World Report. Through the John
Ochsner Heart and Vascular
Institute (JOHVI), we offer
patients and referring
physicians easy access to our
advanced cardiac programs.
We practice medicine with
cutting-edge technology and
participate in research
trials that bring the
latest innovations
to our patients.
With just one call, all outpatient clinic
appointments can be scheduled with
the necessary Ochsner physicians
and specialists. Currently there are
more adults than children living
with congenital heart disease
in the United States. Due to
increased survival rates, medical
breakthroughs and advanced
technologies, the number of
adults will increase by 5%
annually. Ochsner is proud to
offer comprehensive treatment
for patients as they grow into
adulthood including family
planning issues and
high risk pregnancy in
ACHD patients.
