The Students’ Union Advice and Information Centre (SUAIC)
has organised an extensive social programme that runs from 25
September to 1 October. See pages 15–16 for programme details.
Venues
Most of the induction academic and social activities will be held at
the Avenue, Boldrewood and Winchester campuses will also have
some activities at these sites.
WSA students will stay at Erasmus Park accommodation in
Winchester for the induction period. This must be pre-booked
in advance.
Transport will be provided for WSA students to enable them to
participate in activities at the Highfield Campus in Southampton.
Further details will be available from the Erasmus Park reception desk.
English language and study support
Information on the language and study support available to you
will be provided during your Faculty induction session. In addition,
some drop-in sessions are available in the Hartley Library on
help you register for courses.
Welcome for partners
Partners and children are invited to participate in activities
organised by the International Women’s Club on Wednesday 27
September, 10.30 – 12.00, in the Hartley Suite, Staff Social Centre,
Building 38.
Feedback on the programme
We always welcome feedback on the induction programme, so
would be very grateful if you could complete the online survey
that you will receive and return it to us. Thank you very much.
“It is a very good idea to organise this kind of week for international students because all of the students
attending are in the same situation and have the same questions and fears. It was great for students to have some
time to get to know each other before starting classes and was a good way of easing into the lifestyle here.”
