For January, an exhibition on the theme of colour with a selection from the <strong>Maclaurin</strong> Collection of<br />
paintings, prints and drawings by national and international artists of the 20th and 21st centuries,<br />
including Bridget Riley, Victor Vasarely and Alan Davie.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Maclaurin</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Exhibition</strong> supports the creativity of pupils in Primary and Nursery schools in<br />
South Ayrshire, showcasing a diverse display of art work and ideas from pre-5 to 12 year olds,<br />
featuring the <strong>Maclaurin</strong> Awards.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Maclaurin</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Gallery</strong> welcomes the first exhibition of the Glasgow Society of Women <strong>Art</strong>ists.<br />
<strong>The</strong> GSWA has a membership of 151 women artists working in painting, sculpture, ceramics,<br />
textile art and jewellery and members will show a variety of recent work for sale.<br />

Founded in 1905, Ayr Photographic Society is one of the oldest photographic clubs in<br />
Scotland. From beginners to professional photographers, its members showcase a variety of<br />
images depicting landscapes and portraits and capturing events and special moments.<br />
Sculpture<br />
13th April - 11th May<br />
Looking at the art of sculpture, its aesthetic form and statement through different materials of<br />
stone, metal, wood and found objects, by artists such as George Wyllie, Gavin Scobie and invited<br />
contemporary sculptors.

Open Studios Ayrshire<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Maclaurin</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Gallery</strong> will provide studio space to support the 2014 Open Studios Ayrshire<br />
Event by showcasing the work of members associated with the OSA group. This is a great<br />
opportunity for the public to meet the artists and makers, view their work and see the processes of<br />
their art and craft over the open studios weekend of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April.
