Belong Crewe, the £7.9 million village
for older people, welcomed its first
residents on Wednesday, December
1st.
Pictured with some of the staff who are
supporting residents to enjoy their life
are Melanie Saywell, the village’s General
Manager, and Tracy Paine, Operations
Director. More than 100 people have
already taken the opportunity to tour the
village which provides modern familysized
The village, in Brookhouse Drive, has a bistro, hair and beauty salon and
community centre – facilities which are also open to the surrounding
community. Although more than 30 residents have already moved in, either
to a household or into one of the self-contained apartments, the village is still
organising personal tours and welcoming new residents every day.
Other members of the management team include Caroline Ray, Support
Manager, Hayley Nicholls, Front of House Manager and Activity Facilitator, Lee
Edwards. The village was officially opened on 28th January, by pop maestro
Pete Waterman (see overleaf for details).
