(www.nectcommunitykitchens.org) PUTNAM — The American Red Cross will host a BLOOD DRIVE at Day Kimball Hospital on Friday, Dec. 30, from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. The drive will be located in the Hospital’s Robert H. Field Conference Center. All donors are asked to enter the Hospital through the rear laboratory entrance. Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. All donors are required to provide acceptable proof of identification. Three days prior to donating, blood donors should begin drinking plenty of fluids, such as water or juice. They should also allow eight weeks between donations. To register for an appointment to give blood, please contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-733- 2767. SATURDAY DECEMBER 31 DANIELSON — There will be a FROSTIVAL TOWN EVENT with food and entertainment at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 at the Westfield Congregational Church, 210 Main St., Danielson. N. GROSVENORDALE — Council 2087 of the Knights of Columbus will throw the ultimate NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY to bring a funfilled end to 2011. The highlight of the evening will be a show by Kevin Adams, one of the nation’s most talented singer/impressionists. The event will take place in the Knights Hall at 1017 Riverside Drive in North Grosvenordale, starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a prime rib buffet. After the Kevin Adams show, music will be provided for dancing, and guests will enjoy a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets, $50 per couple, are available at the Knights Hall, at Oliver’s Music Shoppe in Danielson, Conn., or from any member of Council 2087.
