G. Bert Allain, MSW, is the director of a multicounty substance abuse
treatment and prevention program. He has authored four books on children’s
cognitive coping skills and was selected as the 2005 recipient
of the Service Recognition Award by the Louisiana State University
School of Social Work for his work in children’s prevention services.
L. Stewart Barbera Jr., PsyD, MSW, is the Chair of the Counseling
Department at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is the cofounder of the Center for Family Enrichment, Aston,
Pennsylvania, and a member of counseling staff at Life Counseling Services
in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
Steven K. Bordelon, LCSW, received his MSW from Tulane University,
and an MA in Religious Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans.
He has a private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Amy Carrigan, MSSA, is on the faculty of the Department of Psychology
and Counseling at the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne, IN where
she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. Her area of expertise
is lifespan development. She is also an adjunct professor of psychology
at Indiana Institute of Technology. Amy is currently pursuing
her Ph.D. at Walden University.
Lili Daoud, LCSW, is a graduate of the University of the Connecticut
School of Social Work and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Christian
Psychology. Lili received training in REBT at the Albert Ellis Institute
in New York and completed the Behavior Therapy Institute’s advanced
training for OCD spectrum disorders. She is the clinical director of the
