Raymond Chip Tafrate, <strong>PhD</strong>, earned his doctoral degree in Combined<br />
Clinical and School Psychology in 1995 from Hofstra University. He is a<br />
licensed Psychologist in Connecticut and New York, and is a Fellow and<br />
Supervisor at the Albert Ellis Institute. An associate professor in the Criminology<br />
and Criminal Justice Department at Central Connecticut State<br />
University, he is the Director of the Graduate Program in Criminal Justice<br />
and teaches courses on anger and aggression management, correctional<br />
counseling, and research methods. He is the Director of the Connecticut<br />
Center for Cognitive Therapy in Avon, Connecticut.<br />
Bruce A. Thyer, <strong>PhD</strong>, MSW, received his MSW from the University of<br />
Georgia and his doctorate in social work and psychology from the University<br />
of Michigan. He is currently a Professor with the College of Social<br />
Work at Florida State University and has published widely.<br />
Beverly White, PsyD, LCSW is Founder and Director of Phillips-White<br />
Associates in greater Philadelphia. She teaches at Arcadia University and<br />
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is on staff at Brooke<br />
Glen Behavior Hospital. Dr. White received her master’s in social work<br />
from Hunter College, and her doctorate at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic<br />
Medicine. Dr. White utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach in<br />
her private clinical practice with traumatized children, adults, and families,<br />
and as a consultant with the Philadelphia Department of Human<br />
Services.<br />
Marjorie R. Zahn MSS, LCSW, received her graduate degree in social<br />
work from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Services and<br />
Social Research in Pennsylvania in 1986. She has worked with older adults<br />
in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health<br />
centers, assisted living facilities and long-term care facilities. Marjorie<br />
has also completed a graduate program in school counseling and works<br />
with children and adolescents.<br />
Bruce S. Zahn, EdD, ABPP, is Associate Professor and Director of Clinical<br />
Training in the Psychology Department at Philadelphia College of<br />
Osteopathic Medicine. He is board-certified in Clinical Psychology and<br />
is a fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology. Prior to coming to<br />
PCOM, he was the Director of Psychological Services and Cognitive<br />
Therapy Program at the Presbyterian Medical Center of the University<br />
of Pennsylvania Health System, and was clinical manager for the Geropsychiatric<br />
Partial Hospitalization Program.
