Raymond Chip Tafrate, PhD, earned his doctoral degree in Combined
Clinical and School Psychology in 1995 from Hofstra University. He is a
licensed Psychologist in Connecticut and New York, and is a Fellow and
Supervisor at the Albert Ellis Institute. An associate professor in the Criminology
and Criminal Justice Department at Central Connecticut State
University, he is the Director of the Graduate Program in Criminal Justice
and teaches courses on anger and aggression management, correctional
counseling, and research methods. He is the Director of the Connecticut
Center for Cognitive Therapy in Avon, Connecticut.
Bruce A. Thyer, PhD, MSW, received his MSW from the University of
Georgia and his doctorate in social work and psychology from the University
of Michigan. He is currently a Professor with the College of Social
Work at Florida State University and has published widely.
Beverly White, PsyD, LCSW is Founder and Director of Phillips-White
Associates in greater Philadelphia. She teaches at Arcadia University and
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is on staff at Brooke
Glen Behavior Hospital. Dr. White received her master’s in social work
from Hunter College, and her doctorate at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. Dr. White utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach in
her private clinical practice with traumatized children, adults, and families,
and as a consultant with the Philadelphia Department of Human
Services.
Marjorie R. Zahn MSS, LCSW, received her graduate degree in social
work from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Services and
Social Research in Pennsylvania in 1986. She has worked with older adults
in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health
centers, assisted living facilities and long-term care facilities. Marjorie
has also completed a graduate program in school counseling and works
with children and adolescents.
Bruce S. Zahn, EdD, ABPP, is Associate Professor and Director of Clinical
Training in the Psychology Department at Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine. He is board-certified in Clinical Psychology and
is a fellow of the Academy of Clinical Psychology. Prior to coming to
PCOM, he was the Director of Psychological Services and Cognitive
Therapy Program at the Presbyterian Medical Center of the University
of Pennsylvania Health System, and was clinical manager for the Geropsychiatric
Partial Hospitalization Program.
