Decision Sciences in Medicine. She completed her doctorate in social<br />
work and psychology at the University of Michigan in 2004. Dr. Muroff’s<br />
practice experience, teaching, and research are in the areas of mental<br />
health assessment and cognitive behavior interventions with a particular<br />
focus on anxiety disorders, and the influence of culture on clinical decision<br />
making.<br />
Laura L. Myers, <strong>PhD</strong>, is an assistant professor in the Department of<br />
Social Work at Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia. Laura L.<br />
Myers received her MSW and Ph.D. in social work from the University of<br />
Georgia. Her research interests include eating disorders, cultural diversity,<br />
and the various forms of child foster care. She lives in Tallahassee,<br />
Florida, with her husband and four children.<br />
Donald Osborn, MA, MS, LCSW, LMFT, MAC, is licensed in Marital<br />
and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, and Mental Health. He earned<br />
an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University (ISU).<br />
He did postgraduate work in Marital/Family Therapy, and Psychological<br />
Appraisal and received an M.A. in Theology with a specialization in Psychiatry<br />
and Religion from Saint Mary of the Woods College. After graduation<br />
he completed the Addiction Studies certificate from Vincennes<br />
University and is completing his doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is<br />
employed by the Department of Corrections at the Wabash Valley Correctional<br />
Facility as Program Supervisor in Substance Abuse and is also<br />
involved in the Cognitive Behavior Program.<br />
Vaughn Roche, LCSW, ACT, is a social worker with the University of<br />
Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Hospital where he is most closely associated<br />
with the Pain Medicine and Palliative Care Service. He also maintains a<br />
private practice in Salt Lake City. He has used cognitive behavior therapy<br />
in the treatment of patients with a broad range of medical illnesses. He is<br />
certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. He has trained at the<br />
Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research as well as the Albert<br />
Ellis Institute.<br />
Susan Dowd Stone, MSW, LCSW, received her clinical training from<br />
New York University and is currently the Managing Director of Blue<br />
Skye Consulting, LLC, a mental health resource serving the northern<br />
NJ/NYC area. While at Hackensack University Medical Center, she was<br />
a member of an intensively trained DBT consultation team. She writes,<br />
presents, and consults on a variety of affective and behavioral disorders/treatments<br />
including trauma, EMDR, bereavement, and the humananimal<br />
bond. She is the current President of Post Partum Support<br />
International, a member of NASW, AABT, The American Academy of<br />
Bereavement, The Green Cross, and The Delta Society.
