4. PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)

a specially designed tube. The “growth factors” that

5. Roller Therapy 

Roller (or micro-needling) therapy carried out by 

specialist physicians works by opening up the micro 

channels on the surface of the skin and can be applied 

on the face, hands, neck and neckline. Roller therapy 

is used as an anti-ageing treatment to remove or 

reduce fine lines and wrinkling, as well as to minimize 

acne and surgical scarring. Roller therapy also works

6. Laser Treatment

Targeted laser rays are used in the treatment of 

more sensitive areas. Laser applications can 

redefine and tone the surface of the skin and 

remove brown marks, as well as eradicating 

unsightly veins. The treatment is carried out by

- SKIN REJUVENATION 

Laser treatment is performed by specialist 

doctors for skin rejuvenation, pore reduction, and 

the treatment of blemishes and vein problems.

7. Botox 

These days, more and more men and women want to 

have young and healthy looking skin. Wrinkles are 

categorized as facial movement wrinkles, also known 

as dynamic expression lines (on the forehead and 

around the eyes), or wrinkles caused by gravity and 

sagging skin, also known as gravitational folds, (the 

folds of the skin around the mouth). Different methods 

are applied according to the type and location of 

wrinkles. Botox and filling, which eradicate or limit 

indications of aging, can be applied at any age. Botox 

is used as a method of treating dynamic expression 

lines; wrinkling is minimized by botox applied to the 

muscles that cause the lines. Botox can be applied at 

any age. It prevents wrinkles at an early age, and 

eradicates them later in life. The procedure is carried 

out by dermatologists or plastic surgeons.

8. Filling 

The main reason for age-related damage and loss of 

volume in the skin is a decline in natural substances 

such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastic in that 

make the skin firm and taut. This is most commonly 

evident around the eyes and mouth, in the chin and 

cheek line, on the cheeks and at the edges of one’s 

lips. Filling procedures carried out by dermatologists 

and plastic surgeons easily remove age-related lines 

and wrinkles. The filling material is injected under the 

skin in the area effected by wrinkles or loss of volume. 

This material’s most important feature is its capacity to 

hold water, which effectively overcomes the underlying

SURGICAL PROCEDURES 

1. Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty) 

The nose is defining feature of facial esthetics, and it 

needs to have a natural appearance. Rhinoplasty can 

reshape the lines of the nose or the tip of the nose, 

enlarge or diminish the size of the nose, or reduce the 

size of the nostrils. Nasal surgery can also overcome 

breathing problems caused by nasal polyps, excess 

flesh or deviated septum. 

There are 2 types of nose surgery: 

- Primary Rhinoplasty 

This is esthetic surgery carried out for the first time. 

The surgeon may opt for either open or closed surgery. 

The use of post-op tampons has been greatly 

reduced; a nasal splint is applied for a period of 7 – 8 

days. 

- Secondary Rhinoplasty 

These are operation(s) carried out in the event that the 

patient or surgeon is not satisfied with the initial outcome 

or when functional problems arise. They are most 

commonly carried out using open surgical methods; 

grafts obtained from cartilage in the ear or another part 

of the body may be required. Post-op follow-up is 

similar to primary rhinoplasty.

2. Eye Lift (Blepharoplasty) 

The area around the eyes is the first to show signs of 

ageing. At first the eyelids lose their form. The eyes can 

droop or bags can form under the eyes. Or dynamic 

expression lines known as crow’s feet can develop. 

This requires the removal of sagging skin, eyelid lifting 

and the reshaping of esthetic contours. The traditional 

method of getting rid of bags under the eyes was to 

remove and dispose of them. These days, this fat is 

employed in eye contour surgery. Fatty tissue from 

other parts of the body is added to the area around the 

eyes by means of lipo-injection. 

3. Face Lift 

The most powerful weapon against the signs of ageing 

is well-designed face lift surgery in conjunction with 

essential supplementary methods. A well planned 

intervention achieves absolutely natural-looking results 

with minimal risk to a healthy individual. Incisions are 

made in front of the ear extending up into the hairline,

severe sagging, a mid-face lift or endoscopic face lift

4. Neck Lift 

Over time, the region under the chin can begin to sag 

and lose definition. A neck lift can be carried out on its 

own, or if necessary during a face lift procedure. Just 

as with a classic face lift, neck lift surgery involves a 

surgical incision in front of the ear towards the hairline. 

This eliminates wrinkles and achieves a well-defined 

jaw and neckline free of sagging. The procedure is 

often carried out in conjunction with face lift surgery 

and is effective in eliminating sagging and skin folds 

around the neck. 

5. Brow Lift 

As the years pass, gravity can cause the brows to sag. 

Since the brows and the tissue under the brows sag 

onto the eyelids, it has a negative effect on the appearance 

of the eyelids as well. The esthetic appearance 

of the brows can be restored and enhanced by means 

of an incision in the scalp. The procedure can also be 

performed endoscopically. 

6. Forehead Lift 

Lines on the forehead are one of the first signs of 

ageing. A forehead lift removes forehead sagging, lines 

and wrinkles, lifts the eyebrows to a more attractive-looking 

position and rejuvenates the area around the 

eyes. It is carried out with an incision on or immediately 

in front of the hairline. It can also be performed endoscopically 

with a minimal incision. 

7. Ear Surgery 

Prominent Ear Surgery: The ears are pulled back by 

means of an incision behind the ear and stitches to the 

ear cartilage. This achieves the required esthetic 

appearance of cartilage contours and angles. 

Earlobe surgery: Large earlobes can be reduced in 

size and the contours of the earlobe can be enhanced. 

8. Fat Injection / Transfer 

The fat injection / transfer procedure involves the 

injection of fatty tissue taken from one part of the body 

into another. It is effective in puffing up sunken parts of 

the face, filling, correcting sunken injury scars, lip 

augmentation and cheekbone definition.

Your muscle structure gets weaker and weaker with a 

lifestyle lacking in sports and exercise. The procedure 

uses electro-stimulation equipment. This makes the 

skin smooth, tautens the muscles and invigorates the

expulsion of accumulated tissue fluid and water from

Cellulite Treatment with Mesotherapy 

Used in localized slimming and cellulite treatments, 

mesotherapy plays a role in dissolving localized fat. 

Mesotherapy is a method of microinjection directly into 

or under the skin in problem areas. Mesotherapy can 

be applied to various parts of the body, principally fatty 

areas in the neck and abdomen, the waist and back 

regions, as well as the thigh and knee areas. A 

non-surgical procedure, mesotherapy’s chief advantages 

are that it does not take much time and achieves 

rapid results. In addition, the vitamins, minerals and 

antioxidants contained in the injected material regulate 

and rejuvenate the skin. 

Localized Slimming with Lipolysis 

Injection lipolysis is an innovative body shaping 

application to treat localized fat and flabby skin. It 

dissolves fat in the arms, legs, hips and buttocks. 

Lipolysis on the abdomen, hips, the outer sides of the 

legs, calves, ankles, arms, under the chin or other 

parts of the body where excess fat has damaged the 

contours of the body, serves to reshape the body. As 

well as eliminating accumulated fat under the skin, 

lipolysis gives the skin a firmer and more youthful 

appearance by stimulating the production of collagen 

in the skin. 

BioCavitation for Toned Skin 

Not only is this method effective in treating localized 

fat as well as cellulite and body firming, it also 

achieves localized metric reduction to reshape the 

body structure. Following a preliminary ultrasound 

examination, electroporation is carried out using an 

anti-cellulite or firming gel. Finally, lymphatic drainage 

accelerates the expulsion from the body of fat that 

has remained stored between cells. 

Localized Slimming with Lymphatic 

Drainage (Pressotherapy) 

Pressotherapy is effective in treating edematous 

cellulite in obesity cases and post-natal care. This 

therapy also helps to prevent the development of 

varicose veins. Edema is reduced after liposuction. 

The skin’s elasticity increases. It assists in preventing 

thrombosis in bedridden patients. As well as being 

used in detox treatments, it can be used successfully 

in conjunction with other slimming devices. 

Localized Slimming with Tripolar 

Radiofrequency 

This is an entirely non-invasive, fast and painless 

treatment. It achieves a more youthful appearance by 

heating up the fibroblasts that generate the fibers that 

give the skin its elasticity, thus immediately firming the 

skin. Metabolic activity is accelerated by heating the 

fat cells and stored fatty acids are expelled from the

2. Laser Epilation 

Recent advances in technology mean that the latest 

laser epilation therapies cause minimal discomfort and 

are effective even against fine and light colored hairs. 

Laser epilation using cold laser techniques directly 

destroys the hair follicle without damaging the skin. 

Laser epilation is also more hygienic than traditional 

methods. As the treatment is applied to hairs at various 

stages of maturity, 4 – 6 sessions are required for a 

lasting and final result. 

As well as depilation, existing laser systems are used in

This is used to treat the fine varicose veins that

Enlarged Breasts in Men (Gynecomastia) 

Gynecomastia is the medical term for excessive 

breast tissue growth in men. While it does not 

generally pose a physical health problem, in rare 

cases it can be the harbinger of other disorders. 

Gynecomastia can limit a person’s physical and 

social activities and the kind of clothes that the patient 

is able to wear. 

There are 2 methods of treatment: 

1. Excisional Method (tissue removal): 

A half crescent excision is made round the edge of 

the dark pigmented area at the center of the breast, 

and excess tissue is surgically removed. Just as with 

the other method, satisfying results are achieved with 

a recovery period of a few days. 

2. Liposuction: 

Excess breast material is evacuated by means of thin 

pipes placed into the tissue via 2-3 mm incisions. This 

method is most effective in cases where there is an 

excess of fatty tissue. The procedure leaves only a 

tiny invisible scar. The procedure is conducted under 

local anesthetic and requires no hospitalization. The 

recovery period is much shorter and easier.

2. Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) 

The abdominal wall is rejuvenated and shaped by 

removing excess fat and skin and tightening lax 

abdominal muscles. Tummy tucks get rid of flabby or 

bloated looking tummies with excess fatty tissue, 

regaining the appearance of a flatter, slimmer waistline.

armpit to the elbow. The incision is planned in such a 

way that it will not be visible. 

5. Cosmetic Hand Surgery 

Visible veins, tendons and tissue on the hands are 

some of the most familiar signs of ageing. They can be 

corrected with injections of filling material containing 

hyaluronic acid. Lasting results can be obtained by 

lipoinjection of the patient’s own fatty tissue.

9. VARICOSE VEIN TREATMENT 

One of today’s most commonly occurring problems 

especially in women, varicose veins are a treatable 

condition that is not just a cosmetic issue but also the 

source of pain and swelling in the legs. There are a 

number of treatment options. The main ones are 

open surgery, laser treatment, radiofrequency 

ablation and foam treatment. The entire range of 

treatment options is available to international patients

Diagnosis 

Diagnosis is made via a physical examination. Ultrasound 

is a crucial part of this examination. This is an 

entirely painless imaging test. 

Treatment Methods 

One in five people with prominent veins in their legs 

may suffer from vascular leakage resulting from venous 

valve insufficiency. There are various ways to eliminate 

this leakage. 

Varicose vein patients’ most common complaints are 

leg pain, swelling, itching, feelings of heaviness, 

burning sensations on the soles of the feet that 

increase towards evening time, and night cramps. 

These complaints have a negative impact on the 

individual and their quality of life. Patients suffer a loss 

of general performance. Concerns over appearance 

affect the clothes that sufferers, especially women, 

feel comfortable wearing. Women with varicose veins 

often prefer to wear trousers or use cosmetic

Open Surgery: An incision is made in the groin area 

and a wire or rod-like instrument is inserted through 

the vein to be retrieved through another tiny incision 

below the knee. This instrument is then used to 

remove the vein. 

Laser Treatment: A laser catheter is inserted into 

the troublesome vein, used in conjunction with ultrasound. 

The laser energy heats the vein and causes it to 

close up and shrink. 

Radiofrequency Ablation: This time a radiofrequency 

catheter is inserted into the troublesome vein. 

The radiofrequency energy heats the vein and causes 

it to close up and shrink.

COSMETIC DENTAL CARE 

Whitening 

By removing the plaque, tartar and stains on the 

surface of the teeth, whitening offers an excellent 

solution to patients who are not satisfied with the 

original color of their teeth. There are two types of 

whitening procedure – one applied in the clinic, the 

other at home. The whitening gels applied to the teeth 

cause a chemical reaction that bleaches them and 

leaves the patient with natural-looking white teeth. 

Bonding 

This method is preferred in cases where there are only 

a few problematic teeth. In cases such as broken 

tooth restorations or gap closures, the treatment 

allows the patient’s affected teeth to be restored to 

their original color. 

Laminate Veneers 

These are porcelain layers with an average thickness 

of 0.3 mm, designed for people who are not happy 

with the color, shape or positioning of their teeth. 

Since veneering is only applied to the front surface of 

the teeth, leaving the rest of the tooth unaffected, it 

gives maximum possible protection to the dental 

tissue. The thinness of the material also effectively 

imitates the effect of tooth enamel, for a natural and 

esthetically pleasing result. 

Full Porcelain Crowns 

While crowns have traditionally been based on a metal 

substructure, today’s versions are prepared from full 

porcelain for a much more esthetically pleasing 

restoration. 

Inlay – Onlay Fillings 

When there is insufficient dental material to support a 

regular filling without the extent of damage that would 

justify a crown, inlay - onlay fillings are the perfect 

solution. Laboratory-made from porcelain, the 

capacity of these fillings to match the gum make them 

the preferred option in cases of defects close to the 

gum. 

Orthodontic Treatment 

Orthodontics is a specialized field of dentistry which 

deals with an improper bite that may result from tooth 

placement or alignment of the jaw. Orthodontic 

solutions achieve esthetic results by creating straight 

and aligned teeth and a properly aligned jaw. Liv

transparent plates and brackets placed on the 

rear-facing surfaces of the teeth (the lingual technique)

Cosmetic Gum Treatment 

A genuinely esthetic dental appearance can only be 

achieved with healthy, esthetic gums. Excessive 

redness, swelling or the appearance of infection in the 

gums can be effectively remedied by means of 

plaque-removal and if necessary curettage (the 

removal of diseased tissue from the gums). Methods 

such as gum leveling may be used to treat patients 

with an excessively gummy smile, while recessive 

gums (gingival recession) may require the application 

of gum flaps.

1. Home Care Cures 

Early stage hair loss can generally be brought under 

control with appropriate medical shampoos and 

special cures that can be applied at home. All that is 

required is an examination by one of our specialists 

followed by specific analysis and procedures. If the 

extent of hair loss is beyond the usual seasonal 

pattern, then patients can carry out their own 

treatment in line with their doctor’s prescription, with 

specially prepared mixtures and cures. These kinds of 

treatments are ideal for patients who have suffered 

severe hair loss as a result of hair salon styling, dieting 

or the use of incorrect products, as well as for patients 

who regard their hair as limp, lifeless or in need of extra 

care. 

2. Hair Mesotherapy 

Patients suffering from more severe hair loss will not be 

able to achieve satisfactory results by means of home 

cure treatments. Such cases require the direct injection 

of medication containing components required by 

the hair structure into the scalp and hair roots. This 

treatment is called mesotherapy. Most cases can be 

brought under control by a procedure using a special 

device, within a period of between one week and a 

year. The is carried out by experienced dermatologists 

and hair implantation specialists. 

PRP: Following the completion of certain special procedures, 

the patient’s blood is mixed with a DNA activator; 

the mixture is injected directly into the scalp using a 

specially designed device. This achieves longer-term 

protection. The procedure is carried out by experienced

3. Hair Transplantation 

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a single-session surgical 

procedure that resolves hair loss in 85% of cases. It is 

conducted safely under local anesthetic, allowing the 

patient to remain conscious without feeling any pain. 

Hair transplantation is carried out as follows: 

• The maximum number of grafts is taken from the donor 

area. Then the root channels into which the grafts are to 

be implanted are opened up while the extracted roots are 

soaked in a specially prepared solution. Finally, the roots 

are implanted into the channels and the procedure is 

concluded.

Obesity surgery 

All obesity surgery at Liv Hospital is carried out laparoscopically 

– that is, by means of a device inserted through 

a small incision without opening the abdomen. In addition, 

surgery may be performed using more advanced 

robotic methods. 

Laparoscopic adjustable stomach banding 

A silicon stomach band is clamped to the upper part of 

the stomach. The band limits the amount of food you 

can eat by making you feel full after eating small 

amounts of food. After surgery, the band can be adjusted 

to make food pass more slowly or quickly through 

your digestive system. It is technically simpler and has 

minimal side-effects. But its weight-loss impact is lower 

than with other methods. It can be converted into other 

surgical methods. 

Sleeve gastrectomy 

75% of the stomach is removed and a tube-like section 

of the stomach remains. It is more effective in terms of 

weight loss than stomach banding. Since the rest of the 

gastrointestinal tract anatomy is not altered, vitamin and 

mineral deficiency is rare and life-long supplements are 

not required. 

Gastric by-pass 

This operation serves to restrict food intake as well as 

inhibit its absorption. It has a higher impact on weight 

loss and recovery from co-morbid obesity conditions 

than other methods. 85-90% of Type 2 diabetics 

recover fully from diabetes. Gastric by-pass surgery has 

a higher incidence of side effects than other methods;
