Specially designed features have been created and crafted to impress and assist

XO instruments include a complete line of professional trumpets and fl ugelhorns,
in a variety of bore sizes and materials, to suit every playing need. Each model is
developed with careful consideration for both individual and ensemble performance.
Each is also meticulously crafted to provide the highest level of performance
possible so that teachers recommending XO to their students can be confi dent that
a consistently superior performance is possible with each and every instrument.
XO Professional Trumpets features include a traditional yellow brass body available
in both clear lacquer and silver-plated fi nishes. Hand crafted bells are provided in
yellow brass for clear, quality of tone. Rose brass bells are also offered for those
who prefer a slightly darker timbre.
The traditional standard leadpipe produces a comfortable airfl ow with easily
centered pitch in all registers. The reverse leadpipe is also offered and provides for
an uninterrupted airfl ow, a free blowing scale and ease of playing.
Valve design starts with authentic two-piece valve casings incorporating nickelsilver
balusters for stability and strength. Exquisite valve performance is assured by
furnishing custom Monel pistons or high-precision stainless steel valves for smooth
quiet action. Regular and light-action spring sets are provided for each trumpet
model so you can tailor your perfect touch. Standard and weighted bottom valve
caps are also provided to customize your resonance density.
Tuning slides are provided in both elliptical and rounded crook designs to provide for
customized air fl ow control. A fi rst valve slide saddle and third valve throw ring with
either horizontal or vertical stop provide for pitch control and precision tuning. Pearl
inlaid and full metallic fi nger buttons provide for a personal tactile choice.
Finishes include clear lacquered brass and bright silver plate. A 24K gold trim set
is available that includes gold-plated fi nger buttons as well as gold-plated top and
bottom valve caps.

XO 1600i Medium Bore B Trumpet
The 1600i features a .453" bore, yellow brass body and a 4.8" hand crafted bell with heavy bead and enhanced bell ferrule. The
combination of these two features creates an instrument with exceptional dispersion, clarity, and tonal focus. This model also
features a reverse leadpipe and professional two piece valve casing with nickel silver balusters and includes stainless steel
valves and a vertical 3rd valve stop. The 1600i is available in clear lacquered (1600i) or silver-plated (1600iS) fi nish.
Players can customize their horn with the pearl inlaid and metal fi nger buttons, regular and light action springs, and standard and
heavy weight bottom valve caps. Also included are the special XO Nodal Stabilizers that reduce the gaps that normally contribute
to turbulence and excessive resistance. Developed with the aid of Roger Ingram and others, the 1600i makes a sweeping
statement about lead playing in ensembles of all sizes and styles.
XO 1602 Medium-Large Bore B Trumpet
The 1602 features a .459” bore, yellow brass body and 4.8” hand crafted yellow brass bell with standard bead for maximum
resonance and excellent overtone balance. It features a traditional leadpipe and professional two-piece valve casing with nickelsilver
balusters. Rose brass bell and reverse leadpipe are also available. This model features Monel valves and a horizontal 3rd
valve stop. Players can customize their horn with the pearl inlaid and metal fi nger buttons, regular and light action springs, and
standard and heavy weight bottom valve caps. Embellished by professional grade appointments, this XO model will enrich the
performance of the most discriminating player.

trumpet but with a larger .462" bore, providing superb power

piece valve casing with nickel silver balusters offers superior
alignment for the precision-lapped Monel pistons. Accessorize

XO 1700 B /A Piccolo Trumpet
The 1700 piccolo trumpet features a .450" bore, a yellow
brass body and a specially designed 4" hand crafted bell.
A wonderful addition to any player’s collection, the 1700
provides an extended range that effortlessly addresses the
most demanding descant passages with amazing stability and
accuracy. A two-piece valve casing ensures better alignment
and smooth performance for the four, precision lapped Monel
pistons. Interchangeable cornet shank A/B leadpipes increase
performance versatility.
XO 1646 Special Bore B Flugelhorn
The 1646 fl ugelhorn is designed around a special .413" bore,
yellow brass body, and a beautifully tapered, hand crafted 6"
bell for a focused yet gentle, warm timbre. The tuneable nickelsilver
leadpipe adds additional mass for centered tone. French
tuning slides provide ease of tuning and improved intonation.
A custom fi tted wooden 3rd valve trigger with mini-ball linkage
mechanism offers smooth, positive fi ne tuning. A professional
two-piece valve casing with nickel-silver balusters loaded with
precision lapped Monel valves ensure fast, quiet action. This
instrument is available with your choice of yellow brass or rose
brass bell to create your desired tonal richness.
