CONNECTING A CD PLAYER TO A MIXER
All Citronic CD players are supplied with a 2 x RCA phono to 2 x RCA phono lead.
This lead should be connected between the audio output on the CD player and a
CD or line input on the mixer.
Most mixers have a switch on each channel to allow you to select between
Phono/Line or Phono/CD - this is because CD player and turntable generate
different levels of signal (a turntable is much lower level and therefore needs
pre-amplifiying to bring it to the same level as a CD - hence the switch).
It doesn't really matter which colour phono plug you connect into each channel
as long as you connect left to left and right to right.
The normal convention is RED = RIGHT and WHITE/BLACK = LEFT

Many CD players and mixers also have a fader start function - this uses a separate
3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug lead and allows the CD player to start playing when
the channel fader is moved up on the mixer.
