Children, Young People and Families Parent Partnership Service This is a free, impartial, confidential service for parents and carers of children with special educational needs. They offer support and information over the phone or by visiting families at home. They will also support parents and carers in meetings with their child’s school or <strong>Early</strong> <strong>Years</strong> setting. The Service also tries to promote better partnerships between everyone involved in a child’s education, offering free training, books to borrow and organising parent workshops. Children with Disabilities Service Four teams, each made up of specialist social workers and an occupational therapist, cover the county. They work with severely disabled children and young people, or those with complex health needs, up to the age of 18 years. Their aim is to support disabled children and their families and to enable them to join in family and community activities.
