of Ceremonies will conduct the wedding vows, which may be adjusted according to<br />

CELEBRATE YOUR LOVE IN THAI STYLE<br />

This traditional Thai ceremony is performed by 3 Buddhist monks. It begins with a<br />
sacred chanting by the monks, followed by the blessing of the bride and the groom<br />
by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon, which signifies that although<br />
the individual identities of these two people are kept, their destinies are <strong>no</strong>w linked.<br />
This is followed by the Head-Monk pouring blessed water over the heads of the bride<br />
and groom, which is then collected in a bowl of ornately arranged flowers. The<br />
guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on a water-blessing altar.<br />
CEREMONY<br />
The package comprises of all decorations at your selected venue, such as flowers,<br />
set-up for incense and candles, sitting area for Monks, water blessing altar and<br />
decorated entrance arch. While ring exchange is <strong>no</strong>t traditional for the Buddhist<br />
wedding, we will happily provide the required set-up should you wish to include this.<br />

reception. The venue can cater from 50 to 350 people with creative decorations and<br />

Beach: This is the most popular venue for a wedding ceremony or wedding reception.<br />
It is set right on the sandy beach with swaying palm trees, turquoise sea, and gentle<br />
breeze. For up to 150 people.<br />
Rain Forest: A dream-like location is perfect for couples, who desires to wed within<br />
the tropical rainforest. The venue is suitable for a wedding ceremony, lunch or high tea<br />

Local photographer on standby for 2 hours, taking a maximum of 100 pictures. Within 24 hours<br />
the photographer will deliver a CD-ROM with the digital pictures, glossy printed pictures and one<br />
framed picture. The CD-ROM is compatible with major Photo labs for printing. The <strong>price</strong><br />
excludes all prints aside from the thumbnails<br />
Videographer<br />
Local videographer on standby for 2 hours taking a maximum of 60 minutes tape. Within 36<br />
hours the videographer will deliver a VHS videocassette with the images taken. Please <strong>no</strong>te that<br />
the <strong>price</strong> does <strong>no</strong>t include any particular scene edit, <strong>no</strong>r any modifications on the sound track.<br />
Additional standby hour for Photographer and Videographer<br />

LEGAL PROCEDURE<br />
The below information is provided as a guideline for the legal procedure in Thailand and it may be changed by the<br />
Thai Government without prior <strong>no</strong>tice. To ensure you obtain the most current information and should you wish to<br />
obtain further details, we recommend contacting the Thai Embassy in your location.<br />
Below are steps to follow for having your wedding validated by the Authorities in Thailand and recognised abroad:<br />
1. Issue the certificate Letter for bride and groom from the respective Embassy of your<br />
country in Thailand (in English Language).<br />
2. The Certificate Letter of bride and groom issued in English language by the embassies has to be translated into<br />
Thai language by any Law office in Bangkok.<br />
3. The original documents from point 1 and 2 must be validated and stamped (on every page) by The Ministry of<br />
Foreign Affair in Bangkok.<br />
Note: The valid passports of bride and groom must be shown for steps 1, 2 and 3.<br />
To complete the above, please allow 3 working days in Bangkok. It is strongly recommended to make<br />
appointments with the Authorities in order to have the documents issued on time.<br />
4. Once arrive in Khao Lak, the documents will be given to the Takua Pa City Hall a few days prior to the wedding<br />
(according to check-in date) for issuing the <strong>Wedding</strong> certificate (in Thai language). The bride and groom have<br />
the option to go to the City Hall for signing the official documents, or calling the Authorities to come to the<br />
hotel for signing the documents after the wedding ceremony.<br />
Point 4 will be handled by Le Méridien Khao Lak and is subject to a fee of THB 6,500 for both options. Please <strong>no</strong>te<br />
that the hotel is <strong>no</strong>t responsible for completing steps 1 to 4; the bride and groom are solely responsible for issuing<br />
the correct documents. Steps 1 to 4 are <strong>no</strong>t required if the bride and groom do <strong>no</strong>t need a legal paper certifying<br />
their marriage.<br />
