age of smartphones, you have high expectations in this regard. And of
course that includes the operation of your pre-heater. with EasyStart
Call, we have developed a new telephone remote control that will hit
markets beginning fall 2012. If you already use the latest-generation
of Eberspächer Airtronic or Hydronic pre-heater in your car, motor
home, or boat, you can even retrofit EasyStart Call. As long as you also
have a smartphone with one of the corresponding operating systems,
you too can then enjoy the benefits of the free app.

The new EasyStart Call makes it easy and convenient to operate the
Eberspächer pre-heater installed in your vehicle. The free-of-charge
smartphone app for iOS version 4.2 or higher or for Android as of 2.3
("Gingerbread") provides a new form of remote control. Additionally,
you can also use any cellphone or landline telephone that supports
transmission of dual-tone multi-frequency (dTMF) signals or is capable
of sending text messages. That's almost absolutely any phone. you
then communicate with EasyStart Call via a voice output that guides
you through the menus with clear instructions, or by means of a textmessage
command set.
The new EasyStart Call's primary appeal lies in its ease of operation.
But there's added value in the details, too:

Temperature control for air heaters
The smartphone app sets new standards for the operation of Eberspächer
pre-heaters. Besides the standard EasyStart Call functions, the app
offers a number of exclusive extras. Besides classic employment for
a particular vehicle, the app can also control the heaters in several
vehicles. A total of two pools, each accommodating up to five vehicles,
is available. users consecutively apply all settings for the vehicles in

a pool and send off all operating commands for the pool in one go.
This function is particularly interesting for fleet customers or for larger
machine pools.
OThEr aTTraCTivE fEaTUrES Of ThE app:
Weather alarm: you can set up a weather alarm for your current
location, which will notify you of low temperatures. This ensures
that you will start the pre-heater in time.
News: Via the app, you will receive regular information on
Eberspächer, Eberspächer products, updates, or special campaigns.
Both the APP STORE for the iPhone as of iOS version 4.2 as well
as GOOGLE PLAy for Android version 2.3 or higher smartphones
("Gingerbread") offer an app-search function. Simply enter
"Eberspächer" as the search term.
The search will return our app, shown with the blue "E" logo.
The app now merely needs to be downloaded and configured.
For details on commissioning, please refer to the user manual
included in the app.

The default screen shows the vehicle that
was added during first commissioning,
together with the name you selected. you
can now
heat/ventilate immediately: Select the
heating time and the mode, then press
the start button.
add a photo: use the "+" icon below the
name to add a photo of your vehicle.
Call up the advanced menu: Expand the
advanced menu via the "gear wheel"
icon.
PHOTO APPEARS:
The selected photo's scale is automatically
adjusted and the photo is inserted in
the box on the left. you can thus identify
different heaters or vehicles at a single
glance.

"GEAR wHEEL" OPENS THE AdVANCEd
MENu:
The advanced menu allows you to query the
current operating state of the heater and
the interior temperature. For air heaters, a
target value for the desired temperature can
be set. There is also an option for calling up
additional heater settings and for deleting
a device. The lower section provides three
timers. using the respective buttons, they
can be activated and programmed as well
as deactivated individually.
THREE SEPARATE TIMERS CAN BE
PROGRAMMEd:
The timer's menu allows you to set the day,
the time, the running time, and the modes
"Heat" or "Ventilate".
For air heaters, there is also an option for
setting the desired interior temperature as a
target value.
