GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT
Year 8 pupils are enjoying learning about Antarctica alongside the broadcasting of Frozen
Planet, the amazing BBC series about the Polar Regions. We have also found out what it was like to
live in South Georgia. Mrs Bonner worked with seven Year 8 classes, sharing stories and slides about the
island’s wildlife and whaling industry. The pupils then completed a quiz based on some fascinating artefacts
that Mrs Bonner brought in which included a husky collar, penguin eggs and whale teeth!
