The boy dented being jointly concerned with the other two both <strong>of</strong> whom were dealt with at Lindsey Quarter Sessions last month — In stealing a delivery basket and £19 7s. 5d. worth <strong>of</strong> goods from the mobile shop <strong>of</strong> Mr. G. E. Clarke, at North Hykeham. Mr. Clarke was attending a meeting <strong>of</strong> North Hykeham Parish Council at the time the shop, which was parked on the Memorial Field at North Hykeham, was entered. The wife <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> the witnesses gave evidence against the boy on subpoena. Another summons against the boy, alleging that he received a £60 shotgun knowing it to have been stolen, was dismissed. Mr. W. K. Wood, prosecuting, said the gun was stolen in January and had not been seen since. When questioned by police, the boy replied: "I've nowt to say." The boy was said to have three previous convictions. He was put on probation for three years, and was ordered to pay £2 15s. costs. Took Own Life A DOCTOR called to examine " a patient found on the railway 1ine between Lincoln and Chesterfield on Monday afternooh, told the jury at a Newark inquest yesterday that he got the impression she had jumped from a bridge on to the railway. Space-Saving Cabinet yr HE housewif e In the -L limited kitchen quarters Half-Mile Walk To Graves Likely At New Cemetery THE proposed new burial ground for the parish <strong>of</strong> Bracebridge Heath would involve mourners in an 800 yards walk through the grounds <strong>of</strong> St. John's Hospital, members <strong>of</strong> Bracebridge Heath Parish Council heard last night. Chairman <strong>of</strong> the council, Mr. H. F. Steward, said this was because hearses and oars at funerals would have to stop and turn at the Sleaford-road gate — and the c<strong>of</strong>fins be wheeled on biers from there. The council heard a report from their representatives who met representatives <strong>of</strong> No. 2 Hospital Management Comtoittee last month to discuss the proposal. The report revealed that the former cemetery chapel at the hospital would not be available, as it was to be converted into a Roman Catholic chapel for the use <strong>of</strong> staff and patients. Conditions The hospita1 authorities were prepared to allow the parish council to use a parcel <strong>of</strong> land to the east <strong>of</strong> the old hospital cemetery, subject to certain conditions. These are that the parish counci1 construct a footpath where necessary, and make a contribution — suggested at £150 per annum — towards the cost <strong>of</strong> maintenance <strong>of</strong> the grounds through which the footpath wil1 pass. The hospital authorities will in turn clear the site <strong>of</strong> all rubbish deposited there. 1t was stated that the product <strong>of</strong> a id rate would be about £113.
