boat, a sailing craft. For Mr.<br />

Cooper remembers well the<br />

days <<strong>st</strong>rong>of</<strong>st</strong>rong> his boyhood when<br />

he went to sea with his<br />

father, skipper <<strong>st</strong>rong>of</<strong>st</strong>rong> a fishing<br />

vessel from Lowe<strong>st</strong><<strong>st</strong>rong>of</<strong>st</strong>rong>t. "I<br />

mu<strong>st</strong> get my hands on sail<br />

again," he said.<br />

But art wilt not be left out<br />

<<strong>st</strong>rong>of</<strong>st</strong>rong> it altogether. Mr, Cooper's<br />

father wanted him to be a<br />

seaman, but, "to the old<br />

man's disgu<strong>st</strong>" he entered<br />

the world <<strong>st</strong>rong>of</<strong>st</strong>rong> books and paint.<br />

Now he is going to mix them<br />

- the sea and painting -<br />

with an occasional pint with<br />

the locals.<br />
