Who’s she?<br />
Amrit Maghera is an Indian<br />
- English model, actor, singer<br />
and a dancer from the United<br />
Kingdom. She has had formal<br />
acting training in London and<br />
has a first class degree in drama<br />
and dance.<br />
So what?<br />
She is trained professionally<br />
in many different styles of dance<br />
from a very young age such as<br />
ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary,<br />
Bollywood and hip hop.<br />

by Amrit Maghera in<br />
upcoming Bollywood film ‘Mad<br />
About Dance’, for having better<br />
dancing skills. Amrit Maghera,<br />
reports say, was preferred over<br />

Maghera’s dancing skills at the<br />

Time Warner to go it alone as Fox exits stage<br />
Time Warner Inc will not have to worry about<br />
any overtures from Twenty-First Century<br />
Fox for the foreseeable future. “As you know,<br />
we walked away. This is our resolute decision,”<br />
Fox Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rupert<br />
Murdoch said in a rare appearance on the company’s<br />
conference call late. Murdoch, conceding<br />
defeat, was further explaining the company’s rational<br />
for pulling its bid. Earlier, Time Warner Chief<br />
Executive Jeff Bewkes, speaking on the company’s<br />

own earnings conference call, also weighed in on<br />
the scuttled Fox bid, which the CNN and Warner<br />
Brothers studios owner had aggressively resisted,<br />
as well as the merits of megadeals in general. Bewkes<br />
said he feels that Time Warner is already at<br />
scale, especially for its studio business Warner<br />
Bros which he described as the “biggest producer<br />
of content in the world” to its collection of cable<br />
networks which also dominate. “We are not lacking<br />
something we need,” he said.<br />

After imposing an import ban on five agriculture<br />
commodities from India in the<br />
past six months, the European Union<br />
(EU) is gearing up to extend the ban to Indian<br />
paan (betel leaves) as well. Frequent bans on Indian<br />
food products by the EU have prompted the<br />
Indian government to invite the officials of the<br />
EU Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) to let them<br />
assess the food safety standards followed by India.<br />
An EU delegation is expected to visit India in the<br />
first week of September, said an official with the<br />
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export<br />
Development Authority (Apeda).<br />
Actor Sreejita De and her<br />
cousin were robbed on<br />
the Western Express<br />
Highway, near Dahisar, on Friday<br />
night. The two had met for<br />
dinner at a dhaba close to the<br />
highway and were returning<br />
to Sreejita’s Mira Road home<br />
when the attackers struck. She<br />
said, “It was around 12.30 am<br />
and we were travelling in an<br />
autorickshaw. Suddenly, a car<br />
stopped right in front of us and<br />
three men stepped out. They<br />
slapped our driver and attacked<br />
my cousin. While one man<br />
snatched her phone, the other<br />
two attacked me. I tried to push<br />
them away and even slapped one<br />
of them, but they took away my<br />
phone as well.”<br />
