By my own hand…..
In each issue of the magazine I always keep a space
for thanking all the people who make possible each
edition, special people who became my friends.
They are about five years at our magazine which is
reaching with three languages and millions of
readers all countries in the world.
In this issue we reached to bring together emerging
talent. Talent who consolidates and talent who
remains through the years. There is so much to learn
from these wonderful people who insist on leaving a
trace and who even don’t want to let run a single day
which doesn’t count.
At each closing we are living marathon days and like
always, I’m thankful to my big loves (my family) that
hardly see me at those days. Thanks as always to
my team for always being so diligent and
unconditional, and to those who trust their press to
our magazine, our friends, clients and sponsors.

T
he local talent Aleks Lara – degree in Performing Arts – is a
professional actor in theatre and dance. With his twenty-four
years, he has an extensive knowledge in contemporary art,
with special qualities and values that highlights his work on
stage. He has a degree of scenic arts in Cali.
He has presented workshops on drama, physical training,
creative movement, preforms, dance-theater, incidental
music, movie acting with Director José Carmona and other
workshops; some extra knowledge are: parkour, physical
theater, acrobatics, body mapping, clown, dramatic mime,
contemporary dance, ballet, tango, jazz, milonga, merengue,
bachata, salsa, african dance, folk dance, creativity, acting
gymnastics , scenic combat, artistic mask commedia,
character building, choreography, specialization in theater OP
(oppressed), direction of art and performance.
-He worked artistically with the best universities in Cali. -

F
or his dedication and determination in the average of
his qualification in scenic art, he was awarded a
scholarship during his entire career. Since more than
three years he belongs to a foundation called “Fundmejor
Internacional”, which works for the improvement and quality
of life. There he holds roles like cultural manager, sociotheatrical
entertainer and social actor, among others.

He carried out the viability of artistic projects in the
foundation and has participated in more than 10
national festivals.
Currently he works hand in hand with the Odeón
Foundation, formerly the Bogotá People Theatre. He
works as a guide in “13 sueños” (13 dreams),
directed by Laura Villegas and written by Fabio
Rubiano.
He is creative, innovative, humane and very athletic.
He works to realize his dreams. Meanwhile we can
tell that he means working in movie and tv.
Therefore he left Cali to live in Bogota, leaving his
family, his friends and his love, all that to fulfill his
desires.

He is a college student, son of
the President of Colombia.
He will be kidnapped by
Pedro Pablo and León
Jaramillo, who use him as a
pawn for the freedom of
Isabel Cristina and Juliet.
In the hands of El Capo and his men, he discovers that
his father built his political career with proceeds of drug
trafficking. Hence he will be filled with reasons to
despise the president.

Bárbaro Marín es Uriel Balanta
He is a priest who is convinced of his
pastorate, so that he has accepted
to replace his friend, Father Rafael
Medina as the pastor of El Paso.
However, it is not enough to
remain in mention as a
spiritual, leader in the village
since he was abducted by Pedro Pablo with the goal to
supplant Tato to carry out his plans. Balanta, who is
fighting with the only weapon he has (the word) to
question ceaselessly facing the actions of El Capo, who
is put in check from morality and the permanently fear
of God. He and Pedro Pablo are playing the leading
part in the anthologies scenes in which the two
characters from very different sides of the moral are
providing intelligent discussions, acute and sensitive
about topics such as forgiveness, God, faith, death and
sin, among others.
Tuto Patiño is Yupi
Beside 'Avión', he is the head of a
criminal gang in Bogotá.
He is a risky and ambitious man, who
is willing to do whatever is necessary
to climb in the world of crime.
He is efficient and he doesn’t know issues such as fear
or guilt, same like his colleagues. His nickname 'Yupi'
comes from his kind to dress, which looks more like a
stockbroker than a murderer.

Jairo Ordoñez is Avión
He Is the right hand of
'Yupi' and a ruthless
killer who is able to plan
a trace of guilt, any kind
of attacks where
innocent people die.
In the kidnapping of the son of the president he will see
the opportunity not only to earn money but to enter the
big leagues of crime. He got his nickname 'Avion'
because he was a pilot in a small aircraft and retired
due to an accident.
Juan Fernando Sánchez is Paisa
He is one of the
murderers recruited by
'Avión' and 'Yupi'. He is
an expert in
motorcycling.
He makes no secrets of his desire to kill therefore
he permanently is moving a bullet in his hands. He
has a fast talking and the typical tic like someone
who consume drugs.

Alex Betancourt is El Chulo
He is another of the
assassins recruited by
'Avión' and 'Yupi'.
He is a man who only speaks when it’s necessary.
His look infuses respect and like El Paisa he doesn’t
know the word fear. In his clothes exhibits chains,
studs and tattoos.
Carlos Barbosa is Mariano Murillo
He is the mayor of El Paso, where Pedro Pablo and his
people will come to begin their journey in a submarine.
He is a picturesque and dangerous character with
relationships to groups who are standing outside the
law and are operating in the region under orders from
'Moses'. He always wears white, uses a handkerchief
against his copious sweating which affects him.
Although he is married, he has an affair with his
secretary. He is the typical corrupt politician who
doesn’t leave out a chance to make a speech about
values like honesty or transparency.

Juan Ruíz is Nicolás
He is an extremely intelligent
person, who is in charge of
building the submersible
that will bring Pedro Pablo
to the coast of
Northamerica.
His nickname is 'Acuaman'. He is an engineer by
profession and will be rescued from prison where he is
serving a sentence precisely because of the
construction of submarines for the mafia. He will
transfer with his group to El Paso for the production of
that colossal project.
Paola Tovar is Sara
She is welder by profession
and part of the team of
Nicolás, who has worked in
the past building boats in
order of the mafia.
She is a voluptuous and sensual woman. Besides the
dispute with Mariale and Bruna because of the heart
of Pedro, Sara is going to play an important role in this
game of seduction, as she had shown openly interest
in León Jaramillo.

Alfredo Ahnert is Alejandro Galíndez
He is a lieutenant of Blanco in Colombia and a
fundamental part of his organization.
He Is very close to being number one for his
loyalty and diligence. His last entrusted mission
was to save 'LA Capo' and to give him the tools
for being able to return to the trade, but then
the order changes and he shall end the life of
Leon Jaramillo, if he doesn’t want that his
family would be endangered.

Influenced by Brazilian sounds but mixed with fine
Colombian accordion chords, Reykon "El Líder" returns
with the third single "Tuturuwá". A theme which is
showing us his musical evolution within the urban genre,
since he is going to experiment with the characteristic
beat of his earlier themes, but now it’s allowing him to
play with instruments recorded in studio.

The new sound which Reykon already starts identifies him
and comes from the great scenes and musical proposals
that international artists have brought from all over the
world.
For Reykon "I had the honor of sharing the stage with the
great artists of this gender in different countries; all have
sought the evolution of rhythms that mixed with electronics
leads to other audiences from whom now I want to continue
conquering.”
“Tuturuwá "resulted by experiments in the studio with all
those sounds that we like to dance at parties and music
festivals, and this title will humming the rhythm, joined with
the lyric and I liked how it sounded. So also turned out the
lyrics and now we even will have choreography steps," he
concluded. "Tuturuwá" is composed by Reykon and
included the production of Chez Tom in the studies of El
Cartel Records of Puerto Rico.
The launch of this third single is included in the first record
of Reykon and has the title "El Parcero", launched the
market on Saturday 1 st of June in Colombia, Central and
South America and at the middle of June in the United
States. The video is recorded in Brazil and was released in
late June.

«I am grateful to God for all the blessings that he
gives me every day - » Eugenia.
-We spent the afternoon with Eugenia Diaz, fell in love
with her charisma and here we tell her story.
Eugenia Díaz, fashion designer from the Department of
Santander, based in Bogotá, is dedicated primarily to making
wedding dresses. It runs about 22 years in the design in those she
has worked with dedication, perfection, devotion and commitment
with her customers. Her interest in design started from that
moment when her maternal grandmother "Nonita» encouraged
her to learn this art. After graduating high school, she decided to
study fashion design in Bucaramanga and then to travel to Bogota
for seeking new horizons.

She began her great career with dressing mainly brides; her
interest led her to a work at a wedding house which she saw by
chance. At that time, Eugenia still didn’t thought that she could
achieve to design a wedding dress, but every day she made use
of working in this fashion house which lasted two years working in
employment.

Later Teresita Cruz asked her to publish in a magazine. She has
no clothes for that event so she asked to borrow wedding
dresses which she had designed. In this way were presented the
fashion show headed by the actresses of the novel Betty La Fea.
It was a success and from that time she didn’t stopped doing
fashion shows and appearing in fashion magazines.
This great designer has dressed many celebrities and reached a
record for being the designer who has the most bride dressed.
All this has allowed her to meet many people regardless of social
status because in the eyes of Eugenia are all brides important. In
her great career she served clients who have initially been
wearing dresses for flower girls or page boys, as the years
passed their first communion, until their marriage..

Eugenia Diaz has extensive experience in advising without
thinking so much at the budget. She just thinks more at happiness
and the satisfaction of the brides. She doesn’t skimp at the time
for her creations.
«Like the whole economy, the trade of the Colombian designers
is also affected, generally is this reflected by the advanced import
of the dresses of lower prices that are arriving the country, this
has resulted that many brides stop worrying about having quality;
Fortunately the great designers know the different materials, the
talent and the quality with which they work and this makes that
they can’t compete against the magic of the artwork that
characterizes a great designer» added Eugenia.

Eugenia Diaz worldwide recognition has transcended borders.
- Santiago Girarldo – presenter of Fashion Flash works at the
ALO NOVIAS magazine, where Eugenia Diaz has had covers
on several occasions.
During her great career she had to experience great
anecdotes, one happened with a bride who after paying her
dress wanted to make her makeup test and on the way with a
taxi she saw her fiancé with another woman with whom he
walked hand in hand, that woman looked as if she was
pregnant. She got out of the cab, went to her fiancé and the
woman and asked the woman who she was. She answered
that she was his wife and they were expecting a baby. With a
broken heart the bride called Eugenia and said that there
would not be a marriage, Eugenia kept her dress and six
months later, the bride came back to marry another man who
still is her husband.

Her key to success is always being happy, to be
receptive to everything, to find out what every bride
wants and to fulfill the dream of each of them.

At the end of the Fashion Show of Eugenia Diaz, the presenter
of the event, Adriana Jimenez was modeling. In the middle of
her catwalk appeared her fiancé Enrique Zambrano for asking
officially in front of all the guests to accept his proposal of
marriage. First the audience thought that it was something
planned, but when it became clear that it was a real proposal,
the public was surprised and very excited. Nobody wanted to
miss the response of the bride.

HAMBURGO
Part one

October 21 st of 1401, at 8
o’clock in the morning. The
sun sent its first rays to the
large open area on the
banks of the River Elbe. A
big crowd of people comes
from the north to the area
called Grasbrook to see a
great show. Men and women
and even children shall now
experience a day of joy, a
day in which Klaus
Störtebeker and his pirates
are turned over to the care
of the Lord, and he received
his equitable punishment.

On 22 nd of April of that year, Captain Simon von Utrecht
has captured the pirate Klaus Störtebeker at the island of
Helgoland in the North Sea and brought him to Hamburg,
where he and his gang have been sentenced to death by
beheading. On this day of public execution, that 21 st of
October in 1401, many curious people experience a
spectacle in the Grasbrook area, which will manifest
through the ages as the Legend of Klaus Störtebeker, the
infamous pirate captain.
In his generosity, Mayor Kersten Miles promised to pardon
and let alive all pirates who the beheaded Captain passes
in an upright position. The beheaded Captain passes
eleven of his 40 loyal men as the executioner trips him up
and the pirate captain falls in the sand.

Medieval cog
The pirate Störtebeker
really existed. He was a
leader of the victual
brothers, a union of
medieval sailors, who
initially supported the
Hanseatic League against
the Danish crown, and
then morphed into pirates.
The medieval Hanseatic League was a union of cities,
which belonged to the most important ports and trading
cities of northern Europe. Including Hamburg, whose
official name still is: Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
The museum "Krameramtswohnungen" gives an idea
of ​how cramped the urbanites have lived in the Middle Ages.

Tour
A popular tour among the tourists is the "Hafenrundfahrt" a
sightseeing tour through the port.
These tours are
lasting one to two
hours on barges
or passenger
ships, where the
tourists are taken
to all corners of
the port of 72
square kilometers
and where they
learn during this
time all about the
harbor.
Sightseeing
Standing on the landing stage of St. Pauli you get a wonderful view
across the "Norderelbe", the northern part of the river, from the
bridges and the Elbe Philharmonic Hall in the east to the major
container terminals and the Docklands to the west. The distinctive
building was built in 1909 and was formerly used as terminal for the
passengers who wanted to travel with the passenger ships and
cruisers those were at the pontoon bridge

Culture Just across the "St. Pauli Landungsbrücken" (the landing
stage of St. Pauli) is the" Theater im Hafen Hamburg ". Since
2001 there are weekly eight shows of the musical "The Lion King".
The port of Hamburg already existed more than 200 years
before the era of Störtebeker, and was - and still is - the soul
and the elixir of life for the entire region of northern Germany.
The port brings prosperity to Hamburg. It gives work to the
common people and opens many opportunities for merchants
so they can run their businesses. The harbor is by far the
largest economic factor and has made Hamburg to be one of
the world's richest cities.

The port of Hamburg invites you to a party. An incredibly large
crowd makes its way from the "HafenCity" in the east to the
"Fischmarkt" in the west and back. Music sounds everywhere.
All radio stations in the city and region are presenting live music
from their own stages. There is music for everyone: Caribbean,
dance, jazz, pop, rock, blues and more.
The smell of fried and grilled meat and fish, traditionally

throughout the area. There are offering many programs on the
river Elbe and on the waterside like the water ballet of the
tugboats or fishermen and Hanseatic businessmen, who are

May. This year it celebrated its 824 th birthday from Friday 9 th to
Sunday 12 th May.

"Korean Princess and means Holy Land" (Born in
Medellin, Colombia on July 10, 2006), is a child model.
The youngest of three siblings lives currently with her
sister Daniela and brother Mateo, her mother Monica
Jaramillo, who is freelancer and who is the principal
motor of her career and her father William Muñoz, who
is a system engineer of a banking establishment and
who supports her monetary and affectively. She is a

Just a few bands have reached that inaccurate songs
become radio hits and hits in all stadiums of Latin
America; and they sing real mischief as if it were sweet
and harmless pop ditties. With determination, talent and
intelligence, the group maintained an upward trend, from
the cellars where the New Argentine Rock of the 90s was
evolved to areas that are home to tens of thousands of
people. And in the enthusiasm of the flash they
composed for playing so distinctive that each of them
crossed his influence.

And all this could have gone really wrong. For example, because
until near completion of recording their first album, the band had
no permanent guitarist. And because signing contracts was not
the best they could do, these "outlaws", who came together to
plant a seed of change of the Argentine rock in a room of Lanús,
in Greater Buenos Aires. The germ of the band was born of the
reunion between the singer Adrian Dárgelos with keyboardist
Diego Tunon, who had already shared projects during the '80s.
Dárgelos had traveled to the United States and England, where
he experienced first-hand the change of air which was generated
in the international rock scene. The determination of generate
something new mobilized the duo, who immediately reverted to
bassist Gabo Mannelli (formerly Los Brujos and Juana La Loca)
and drummer Diego "Panza" Castellanos. Then there is Diego
Uma, the younger brother of the singer, who began playing
percussions armed with a set of buckets, light years away from
the multi-instrumentalist and producer of today. And when
Mariano Roger joined as guitarist, the band was ready to record
Pasto without even having experience in shows.
Monterrey

The next step was to hire a cottage to record the
album there. On that summer of 1991 the six
musicians consolidated their friendship and a working
group in which the roles changed according to the
circumstances. The result of those sessions was
Pasture (1992), published by Sony, while Buenos
Aires was dazzled with the novelty of "la movida
sónica" (the new sonic) and that what later would be
known as Nuevo Rock Argentino (Argentine New
Rock). Bombastic names to describe a handful of
bands, among which Babasonics stood out for its
brazenness (the band decided to self-produce, but
was close to Daniel Malero and Gustavo Cerati), their
look was crossing surfer and neohippie, and, above
all, by songs as "D-Generación" where Dárgelos
striked a blow: "For my generation does not care
about your opinion."
Show Ramallo

The sound of the band had already changed radically
during the time when Babasonicos decided to record
their second album, Trance zomba (1994): rap, funk,
disco and hardcore electrified that work, in which DJ
Peggyn was joined. The album allowed the band to tour
inside Argentina and also open the Depeche Mode
concert in Velez (earlier they support act of Soda
Stereo in Obra).
For Dopádromo (1996), Babasonicos intended to make
"a rare disc, experimental", influenced by B movies,
orchestral pop, spaghetti western and trash culture.
From there is, for example the hit “¡Viva Satana!”. And
as the album was mixed in Los Angeles, the musicians
used the trip to make their debut tour to Mexico where
later they concentrated thereon. It was the first album
where the musicians worked with Andrew Weiss
(Ween, Yoko Ono).

In Babasonica (1997), the band entered onto winding
roads ("We were investigating the Evil and the songs told
about it," said Dárgelos), which had adversaries,
alchemy, satyrs and the Devil. The sounds had taken up
an obscurity and a baroque which referred more to Black
Sabbath than to the past of Babasonicos, with songs
constructed with heavy and dark riffs. The album
disconcerted the fans of the band, but made that ​others
didn’t believe their ears.
While the end of the Menem government led show the
disruption of a political and economic model that would
blow up Argentina in the following years, Babasonicos
recorded Miami (1999), which since its release passed
criticism of the state of affairs.

From that album, the writing between the lines of Dárgelos
became more complex, while the band built the songs in the
studio, in a process in which the boundaries were blurred and,
for example, a sample of a dark soundtrack could shoot creative
ways which derived in a different orchestration.
In those years, the group made ​contact with Ian Brown: a track
recorded in Buenos Aires, traveled to England, where the (then)
former Stone Roses singer included it in his second solo,
Golden Greats, and titled simply "Babasonicos". Later, while
Argentina is disarmed and the record market was virtually
nonexistent, the band also faced other problems: They had no
contract with any label, and Peggyn and the manager left them.
In this negative context, Babasonicos created a jewel: Jessico
(2001). The album, with "more essence than gimmick" without
excessive arrangements or baroque, was conceived in the
cottage of Tortuguitas that the band had taken as shelter.

And by that simplicity (which is not less complex), the group
finally got access to more numerous audience, as much in
Argentina as in Mexico, Chile and the United States. Thanks to
songs like "El loco", "Deléctrico", and "Los calientes", Jessico
was voted to the album of the year in the rock media of that
time.
And their influence was so big that it later was again chosen as
the album of the decade.
If before the publication of Jessico the band had opened its
"discography parallel" with Vortex Marxist (side B of the first
three albums), Vedette (Babasonica B-sides), electronic
Babasonica (remixes) and Groncho (side B of Miami) , the new
album would produce three more albums of remixes and, eleven
years later, another edition of B sides, Carolo. Mixtures
infamous, soundtrack of “Las mantenidas sin sueño”, Mucho+
and the recent ep virtual Babasonicos vs. the audience (spoken
word by the Spanish journalist Bruno Galindo) complete that
parallel world of the official discography.

Villa Carlos Paz - Cordoba
The star of the band still grew more with Infame (2003); in this
album the musicians left the influence of popular and even
romantic (ballads and boleros) music for creating simple and
likeable melodies. Songs like “Irresponsables”, “¿Y qué?” or
“Putita” impacted immediately and, however, were raising
questions in its seemingly innocuous verses. The Infame-tour
succeeded in Argentina as well as throughout Latin America,
each time in front of more and more audience. The album was
released in sixteen countries and allowed the band to get six
Gardel awards (Premios Gardel, awards show in Argentina),
including the one in gold.
Anoche (2005) was recorded in Cordoba with Babasonicos who
were assuming for the first time as classic and not wanting to
overload the arrangements of the orchestration. "Carismático"
and "Yegua" allowed them to maintain their wealth of public,
they won a MTV Award for "Best Rock Band" and toured
throughout Latin America, USA and returned to Spain. It was
the first album of Babasonicos which was mixed by Phil Brown
(Roxy Music, Bob Marley), with whom they work until today. The
recording of the Anoche presentation at Luna Park Stadium in
Buenos Aires at 6 th of May 2006 was published on the DVD
Luces (2007).

Gabo Mannelli had to stop touring because of an illness
(he was replaced by Carca). The bassist could
participate in the writing and recording of Mucho (2008),
but he died before the album's release. Despite the pain,
the group went on "trying to win something beautiful from
something horrible." This album was achieved the first
time through a special issue of cell phones, a format that
worked as a method of facing the changes in the record
business. And it also allowed the group to visit Brazil for
the first time.
A propósito (2011) marked a new reinvention to
Babasonicos, with songs that mutated and became
different during recording, but without differing from the
principle (a concept which recovered at live acts after it
was extended to old themes). On the album there is
room for the riff of "Fiesta popular", the reflection of
"Chisme de zorro" and the frantic dance of the three
parts of "Muñeco de Haiti." After recording, Carca, who
made the bass on the album, changed to a role of a
multi-instrumentalist, leaving the four strings for Tuta
Torres. Besides a couple of concerts at the Luna Park
and several in Vorterix, the band took their A propósito
tour to many cities of the continent, abiding by their habit
to be always in motion.

Today I want to make some annotations about our
subject matter. Healthy cooking is a real battle for
many of our readers because they can’t know the
immense amount of resources that we have in this
time to make a delicious and balanced menu. I hope
that we have a marvelous guide with my council and
those of our readers for making the time to eat a real
pleasure without forget the nutrition. We are always a
little bit confused by the plethora concepts that exist
about nutrition, if vegetarian, organic, diet x, diet z,
fruit therapy and more ideas, that all end up confused.
The truth is that we can take these ideas as it best
and take that what is beneficial for us for having a
healthy life. In my personal opinion it is important to
know all that benefit us when we prepare and
consume food, as this is the best way to prepare.
Some of the people will tell us that the best
preparation of this food is grilled; others will say that it
is steamed and so the way has to be relevant to the
tastes of each of them.

My first advice is as follows: use the organs in a way
that your meal is the most exquisite, never forget that
your food has to look good during the process of
digestion. You started well, when it smells delicious,
when to the palate it tastes rich when it is crispy it is
really crispy, the red foods are red and when
everyone keeps that grace which stimulates us and
delights our palate. I would say that the food is one of
the most beautiful arts that not only feed our body but
our senses.
Another very important advice: one of the ways to eat
healthy is that you don’t have to abuse the quantities.
If you want to have an excellent health, moderate the
amount of salt, sugar, spices. About flour is to tell that
the more is the quantity of what you consume the
more it can be detrimental to your health, and when
you consume a large quantity of food, your stomach
will expand and your body can’t digest so much food
and will save it for the future. Then we will start
becoming obese and therefore to having health
problems from obesity. This is just one example, but if
the abuse with the food is ongoing, it can be harmful
for each one.
Today I want to leave you a photo made in one of my
favorite restaurants in Bogota where you find a big
variety of vegetables and where you can compose
with the same products a delicious mixed salad to
your flavor. This is a very good alternative for rich and
healthy eating and it looks appetizing (remember:
serve once and don’t take advantage that it is an open
bar)
