LATIN AMERICAN MODEL

The awards were given thanks
to an initiative of the productors
of the Spanish Management
Entity Egeda and the
Iberoamerican Federation of
Film Producers and Audiovisual
FIPCA, the PLATINUM Latin
American Cinema Awards, the
Industry Awards.
Born with the aim to establish
itself as a major event of
international promotion of Latin
American cinema as a whole,
transcending borders, and as
one of the most important
instruments for the promotion
and support of our film and all
professionals who, day after
day, put all their effort and
commitment so that we can
enjoy the best film, with the
promote film distribution
among the 22
participating countries. It
was distributed in 9
categories: film, direction,
actor, actress, original
music, animated film,
documentary film, script,
and coproduction.
The Honor Award, in this
first edition, has gone to
the great Brazilian actress
Sonia Braga, whose
career has been
considered by the jury as
"a good example of work
and effort beyond their
own country and in
addition an example for
other interpreters and
professionals. "
