General Information<br />

Course Description<br />

<strong>Essentials</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiology</strong>: A <strong>Mayo</strong> <strong>Clinic</strong> Review is designed for practicing radiologists<br />

and upper-level residents who desire a comprehensive and concise review <strong>of</strong><br />

diagnostic radiology and its subspecialty areas. The course emphasizes a practical<br />

approach to imaging that is applicable to radiologists throughout their careers.<br />

The <strong>Mayo</strong> <strong>Clinic</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiology</strong> has 150 staff radiologists practicing in all<br />

radiologic subspecialities, performing over one million exams each year. This<br />

volume <strong>of</strong> cases coupled with the most modern imaging techniques has allowed the<br />

department to compile a vast image library.<br />

<strong>Mayo</strong> <strong>Clinic</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Radiology</strong> experts will conduct a series <strong>of</strong> didactic<br />

lectures and dedicated unknown case review sessions. Individual laptop workstations<br />

will also be provided within the meeting space and are a unique feature <strong>of</strong> this<br />

course. Participants will be able to view lectures from the provided laptop computers<br />

during the presentations. This element <strong>of</strong> the course will bring the images directly to<br />

the participant, allowing for better visualization <strong>of</strong> even the most subtle findings.<br />
