Novice Riders’ Championship
The Northern Racing College have kindly donated a prize to the leading Novice Rider of the 2011 ARO season.
After the August Hereford meeting, the Novice Rider Championship standings are as follows (top five):

Salisbury Charity Mascot Race
ARO is delighted to be working with The Children's Trust this September to organise a charity Mascot Race before
racing at Salisbury. The Royal Cavalry of Oman Arabian Raceday on Sunday 4th September will be the first Arabian
raceday to host a charity event of this kind. The Children's Trust works to provide care, education, therapy &
rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs & acquired brain injury. Their services
include treatment, support, nursing care & recreational breaks.
There will be commentary of the race provided by ARO Commentator, Gary Capewell, and an ARO Bookmaker will
take bets in order to donate the proceeds to charity. A bucket collection will also be held after racing, so please dig
deep to help support this fantastic Children's Charity! Also, make sure to look out for ARO's Mascot, Ali Baba the
Arabian!! The day promises to be a special family occasion for everyone, so please bring your children to meet the
Mascots and celebrate a great day Arabian racing at Salisbury.
Trainers with horses in race 2 at Salisbury should note that the prize giving for the Mascot Race will take place in the
winners enclosure directly after the prize giving for the Maiden. Horses should not enter the parade ring for the
second race until the Clerk Of The Course states it is safe to do so.
