determine effect of increased clearance in Balance Piston:<br />

a. hydraulic loss due to backflow from outlet to inlet<br />

b. rotor dynamic behavior of pump shaft<br />

c. effects of wear of swirl breaks<br />

2. High Viscosity Test:<br />

a. establish hydraulic and mechanical performance at<br />

high viscosities (250 cP/ 0- 80% GVF)<br />

b. verify start- t up of pump at very high h viscosities<br />
