EASYDRILL
Disc seed drills designed
for high output
EASYDRILLS are trailed machines offering good
under the chassis clearance and up to 250 kg
drilling pressure per coulter unit. Their versatility
enables them to operate in a wide variety of
conditions and in the presence or plant debris :
superficial mulch, deep mulch, “pure” direct drilling
or under plant cover. Occasionally drilling on
previously pressed ploughed land is perfecty possible.
With a large capacity easy to load hopper the refilling
time is reduced to a maximum.

Direct costs control and
also sustainable
management of herbicides
The 3 metre EASYDRILL model requires less than
100 horse power on flat ground; the 6.00 metre
folding model requires about 160 horse power in
similar conditions to drill more than 6 ha per hour!
The secret of these savings in traction, and therefore
fuel, are due both to the absence of elements working
the soil and the carefully designed angle of the serrated
opener disc. An additional advantage is less disturbance of
the seed bed. Within the framework of sustainable management
of herbicides, recent studies in fact stress the big advantage of moving the soil less when drilling in order
to limit weeds germination.

RMFLEX wheels. So, you can individually adjust
the drilling elements behind the tractor wheels if necessary.
Concerning the discs and press wheels, there is excellent

A clear-
cut, for minimum soil
movement
The new combination of a notched opening disc / built-in
coulter provide :
■ more penetrating power on dry or trash covered soils
or even into catch crops (up to 250 kg per element),
■ the possiblility of separating the drilling depth and
drilling discs, especially for uneven soils,
■ localised soil preparation only along the furrow (less
weed emergence),
■ less horsepower required (tapered coulter) and
higher forward speeds obtained since less soil
movement,
■ increased working life : off-centre coulter protected
behind the disc angle and with a carbide tip at the
contact point with the disc.
Complete drilling depth control
The FARMFLEX ® front wheels (500 mm diameter,
210 mm wide) ensure :
■ a consistent working depth on varying soils even at
high forward speeds
■ a sufficient consolidation giving the following notched
disc something to work into and therefore create a
good seed furrow
■ plant trash is rolled in the direction of travel (and not
across the seedbed).
Optimum soil / seed contact
The cast-iron, bevelled press wheels provide a
"targeted" side action, to perfectly close the furrow
and obtain excellent soil-seed contact. They have
special scrapers adapted to damp soils to work into all
conditions. These are independent wheels (on bogies)
so each row receives the same level of consolidation even
on unlevel soils.

A highly productive drill,
both in the field and on roads
■ 2600 litre hopper capacity on a 4 m drill and a
3200 litre hopper capacity on a 6 m drill, thanks
to an extention, therefore a carrying capacity of
near 20 hectares of Wheat !

measuring 2.58 m long, is

Single pneumatic metering
SULKY has developed a centralised single metering, ideal for
using up to the last kilogram of seed
■ For “quick” drilling, an extra stong fan coupled with a large
diameter air column (125 mm) provide high rates like 350
kg/ha of Wheat at 15 km/h without blocking
■ Each distribution outlet has a valve, enabling a full choice of
tramlining possibilities on any row (drilling on every second
row, choice of tramlining passes…)
n Central dosing meter driven by an electric motor linked to a
radar for reading speed; a sensor placed on the general lift
makes it possible to stop distribution instantly when turning
round.
n Safe hopper access is gained through the front ; the opening
of the hopper cover latch and cover have been carefully
designed.

A safe drill on the road
and on headlands
■ Wide wheels (500/50-17), hydraulically
braked transport axle,
n 2-point linkage on oscillating bar: makes a 90°
turn at the end of the field possible.
■ Drilling elements fully lifted when
hydraulic axle lowered (high underframe
clearance when turning).
■ The axle is lifted during work, so leaves
no marks on the seedbed.

SULKY row-by-row metering :
versatility with “all seed types”
and quick setting
The SULKY row-by-row metering has a fine toothed pegwheel
1 (for small seeds and a coarse toothed roller
2 ) for all other seeds.
Through the movement of a slowly rotating agitator, the
seed is guided smoothly from the hopper to the peg-wheels
and then on to the drilling elements.
The peg-wheel metering is versatile :
it can handle cereals, grass seeds, small seeds, large seeds,…
The staggered peg arrangement on the coarse wheel ensures a better
seed placement along the row.
The peg-wheel metering is perfectly adapted to drilling at high rates and
speeds of up to 14 km/h (no risk of clogging while drilling peas for example).

After the seed has been
deposited by the coulter A ,
the furrow closes naturally
over the seed. It is then that
the FERTISEM B locator
deposits the fertiliser in the
soil flow over a width of
about 3 cm.
The SULKY
innovation on the
EASYDRILL is aimed at increasing
the concentration of nutrients
close to the seed, particularly in
the area where the roots
develop, which is in the tillering
layer above the seed.
The FERTISEM locator may be turned by a quarter
turn to apply slug repellent on the inter-row for

PILOT electronic console: comfort and accuracy
In addition to the standard functions found on the ULT
RON console (tramlining, alarms,
information), the new PILOT console, combined with the electric drive of the dosing meter,
provides the following serv

> disengaging of a half-drill from the cab with proportional reduction in the application rate ;
> at the start of the run, acceleration of the seed travel time from the dosing meter to the
furrow (“Automatic pre
-load” function) ;
> elimination of drilling misses if there is a standing start (manual “Pre

anticipated priming of the single dosing meter) ;
> during the tramlining, run, automatic reduction in the drilling application rate (seed saving),
