» The special coating means that HK and HKR grippers consistently transmit clamping force to
the tool holder, ensuring that tools are always securely clamped. In addition, lubrication or
other maintenance is never required, reducing overall machine maintenance requirements.
HKR model dramatically reduces chip-to-chip time
» The HKR gripper’s patented “snap-hold” function holds a tool in the spindle in the unclamped
position, allowing a tool to be changed independently of the clamp and release cycle of
the drawbar system. This feature reduces the chip-to-chip time and therefore the nonproductive
time considerably. In customer applications, 0.4 to 0.5 seconds per tool change
cycle are saved.
