Fall 2007 Awards The Berrier Poetry Award Jonathan Sondej Amphibian The Berrier Prose Award P.H. Spalletta This Thing of Darkness. The Esprit Photography Award Michelle Geise Silent Breeze Fall 2007 Award Judges: Poetry: Rachel Chibnik, class of 2007, was both an editor and an assistant production manager for Esprit. Her poems “Capable of Being” and “Imitation as Flattery or Stolen,” as well as her photograph Tooth, were published by Esprit in 2006 and 2007. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Educational Theatre for Colleges and Communities at New York University. Prose: Dan Mac Guill, class of 2007, is an award-winning writer, and was Editor-in-Chief of Esprit. He hopes to begin an M.A. in philosophy at University College Dublin, Ireland, in September 2008. Photography: Lisa Hinkle is an assistant professor at Marywood University, from which she received her M.F.A. She teaches history of photography and all levels of studio photography. She is currently at work on a collection of her photographs.
