Amanda Trujillo ’04 graduated Summa Cum
Laude in May 2010 from Georgia State University
with a
master’s in
gerontology.
Amanda
successfully
d e f e n d e d
her thesis
“Age Differences
in Word Recall Predictions” under the
direction of Dr. Ann Pearman. In the fall of 2010,
she will be attending N.C. State University to pursue
a Ph.D. in Lifespan Developmental Psychology.
She has been awarded an IMSD Predoctoral
Fellowship to support her studies at NCSU.
Paul McDowell ’07 was awarded the Sidney
R. Bland Scholarship from the James Madison
University History Department in March 2010.
The scholarship is awarded annually to history
students with a minimum GPA of 3.25 that submit
the winning history paper for History Seminar
395, as selected by a committee of History Department
faculty.
Stuart Collier ’09 has been chosen to do research
for the American Film Institute (AFI). The program,
sponsored by Georgia Tech, will last through
the 2010-2011 school year.

Marriages...
Leslie Barron ’70 and Peter May ’70 were married
on March 27, 2010 in Savannah, Ga. Their
long distance courtship began with PiHi’s 2005
reunion and continued as bi-weekly visitations
between Newport News, Va., where Peter is a
contractor to the Air Force, and Atlanta, Ga.,
where Leslie is a worker bee for a real estate
investment company. The first one to lose their
job has to move. The moral of their story is “Go
to your high school reunion.”
