working hours for any position you apply for.
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 enables some criminal convictions to become “spent”, or “ignored” ,
after a “rehabilitation period”. A rehabilitation period is a set length of time from the date of conviction. After
this period, with certain exceptions, an ex-offender is not normally obliged to mention their conviction when
applying for a job. For further guidelines on this Act, please contact the HR department at Trek UK.
include any prior involvement with any Trek subsidiaries.
Availability and Interview Arrangements
Our interview dates will be published and included with the application packs. Should you not be able to
attend these dates, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we may make alternative arrangements
if practicable.
Please also state any pre-booked holiday arrangements, which we will take into account at interview.
Special Requirements for Interview
In order for us to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act and ensure all applicants have a fair and
equitable chance at interview, please state if you need any particular assistance at interview.
Section 5. References
Please give the name, address, telephone and email contact details of three referees, including your existing
or last employer, to whom reference may be made in support of your application. If this is your first job then
one reference should be from your head teacher, lecturer or similar.
Please ensure your referees are in a position to respond promptly as no appointment will be made without
receipt of satisfactory references. If you do NOT wish us to contact your referee prior to offer of position,
please indicate.
Section 6. Experience and skills
You should use this area to ensure that you highlight any information that shows how you meet the
requirements of the person specification / job description. Please describe the skills, knowledge and
community or leisure interest. Where applicable, please list your publications and/or research work and any
research funding obtained. Please also provide a statement of why you are interested in the post.
Please continue on a separate sheet if necessary, but ensure that you clearly state the position you have
