The <strong>Canterbury</strong> <strong>15</strong> <strong>HE</strong> employs a Tannoy Dual Concentric TM driver<br />
whose computer designed Tulip Waveguide TM further enhances the<br />

Alcomax 3 magnet version of this classic drive unit,<br />
it is constructed with a substantial high-pressure diecast<br />
380mm (<strong>15</strong>") chassis. New material is used in<br />
the construction of the <strong>HE</strong> (Hard Edge) twin roll fabric<br />
driver surround while the drive unit chassis incorporates<br />
an earthing facility. These features combine to provide<br />
fast, accurate bass with fluid, open midrange and<br />
clean high frequency performance.<br />
Birch ply, from Finland, is used for the enclosure<br />
construction with substantial internal bracing. The<br />
beauty of the walnut veneered cabinet is further<br />
enhanced with selected burr walnut wood veneers<br />
and completed with rich solid walnut mouldings.<br />
Gold plated terminals are provided allowing for the<br />
recommended option of Bi-wiring. Silver plated Van<br />
den Hul cable is used throughout the speaker. Along<br />
with the Hard-Wired crossover network and acoustic<br />
source aligning system this excellent cable ensures<br />
minimum signal degradation. Both treble level and<br />
roll off can be adjusted by means of high current<br />
switch blocks. A Variable Distributed Port System<br />
allows low frequency output to be tuned to suit<br />
any room.<br />
The <strong>Canterbury</strong> <strong>15</strong> <strong>HE</strong> loudspeakers are built to<br />
special order only. They are supplied with a certificate<br />
of ownership and a polished brass trim plate engraved<br />
with the owner’s name.<br />
