Fantasy Cheerleading was created and founded by Toni Saunders in 2005, we offer the most exciting Cheerleading sport programme around. You will find the programme to be well rounded, positive and fun. Our Goal is to give each individual athlete the experience of a lifetime through developing the skills necessary to advance in the sport of competitive cheer. We also strive to develop self discipline, confidence, self-esteem and teamwork to become successful with everyday life as well as cheerleading. Our Program is designed to develop the overall athlete from the beginning stages through to elite status. Through participation in a quality program, athletes can improve strength, flexibility, balance and overall coordination. We offer a wide variety of classes to suit your schedule and motivation level. What is All-Star Cheerleading? The word “All-star” is another word for “Club”. All-star Cheerleading simply means club cheerleading. It means that you cheer for a club rather than a school or college. The sport of All- Star Cheerleading has grown hugely from its roots 20 years ago in the USA. In the 80s and early 90s, teams were typically formed of athletes who were interested in improving their skills so that they would stand a better chance of making their high school or college cheerleading teams. As the sport developed and grew, more and more athletes and their parents viewed All-Star Cheerleading as a viable activity. As stronger and stronger athletes began to recognize that All- Star provided them a way to focus more on teamwork and athleticism and less on pom poms and decorating lockers, the sport began to separate itself from the traditional stereotypes. Teams and athletes in All-Star now focus on gymnastic and acrobatic moves. The hybrid sport of today is a combination of gymnastics, acrobatics, athletic dance, and many elements unique to All- Star. All-Star teams are typically comprised of 15- 36 athletes with a variety of skills and abilities (much like a football or basketball team.) There can be well-rounded athletes and those who have particularly strong abilities in certain areas (eg. - strong dancers or jumpers). The coaches create a competition routine performed by the group that has elements of tumbling, stunting, jumping, dance, and other skills set to music. The routines are typically 2 1/2 minutes in length. At competitions, the teams are divided by age and ability level. The routines are judged by their level of difficulty, precision, creativity, and entertainment value. There are thousands of all-star programs of all types across the USA.
ANNUAL BUDGETING INFORMATION Competitive cheerleading, while not as costly as some youth activities, can still be an expensive sport. Please carefully consider the financial commitment involved. CHEER TEAM MEMBER Tuition fees: $110-$340 per team per school term, extra tumble classes start at $120 per term. Team training gear (COMPULSARY FOR ALL TEAM EXCEPT RECREATIONAL) POA Workshops: $40 - $220 annually (option unless stated) NEW Competition Uniform: $250 - $400 includes everything from footwear to head ware, most teams will use this for 2 seasons (second hand may be available) Competition fee’s: $45-$120 per competition (each team to compete at 3-5 comps per year again depending on team) Travelling: all but 1 competition in NZ are held in Auckland and you will be required to organise and pay your own travel expenses. INDIVIDUAL AND DUET COMPETITORS Private lesson fees: $50-$75 per hour per cheerleader. On average 3 lessons will be requires for a 1 minute routine. Competition entry fee: $30-$50 each per competition. Music fee: $200 or you can arrange your own music. Tuition Payments All payments due 10 days after invoice received and dated unless otherwise stated. Weekly, biweekly and monthly payments If paying weekly, biweekly or monthly there will be an additional $20 administration fee added to your invoice per term. Sibling Discount(s) A $10.00 discount per additional child for all tuition payments will be applied to families with more than 1 child in the program. (Example: Child #1 pays $100 per term, Child #2 pays $90 per term, Child #3 pays $80 per term, etc.) Late Fees / Penalties If payment is not received 10 days after due date a $20 late fee will be added to account, after 60 days the overdue account will be sent to Baycorp collecting agents. Please note that any accounts that been forwarded to Baycorp will incur all costs associated with the collection process.
