families in ECFE. Our purpose is to provide
MEET THE NEW TEACHERS
ECFE Extra – September 2013
Meet Stephanie Easley. She will be teaching PreK, Daddy and Me, and Adventures
in Parenting.
Stephanie has dreamed of teaching since she was in elementary school, setting up
her own classroom in her bedroom. She graduated from the University of Minnesota –
Twin Cities with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She says the best part about
being an ECFE teacher is forming relationships with families and children.
Stephanie is the youngest of five children. She grew up in Rochester, MN with her
parents, Mike and Mary, p her sister, Meghan, and her brothers, Bob, Joe and Alex. She has one nephew and a
niece on the way! When Stephanie is not teaching, you can find her spending time outdoors with her family
and friends.
Meet Julie Moravec. She is the new teacher for the Infant classes, Toddler classes,
Imagination Series, Grandparents, and Twos.
When Julie was 5 years old, she set up a teacher's desk and started teaching her
stuffed animals. Since then, teaching has been her goal. She has her degree from
Metropolitan State University. She thinks the best part about teaching ECFE is being
around children and families. She also likes that the flexible schedule allows her to
spend time with her family.
Julie has two siblings that each have children. She lives near her parents and both
of her siblings, so they spend a lot of time together. When she's not teaching, Julie
enjoys volunteering at Lift Bridge Brewing Company, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies.
MEET THE NEW PROGRAM MANAGER
Meet Tamy Reese, the new Early Childhood Program Manager. Tamy grew up in Brooklyn Center,
graduated from Park Center High School and attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She has a
B.A. in elementary education with K-6 licensure. She worked for Edina Community Education with the
school age childcare program for 6 years before moving to Morris, MN. Soon after moving to Morris, she
started working with Morris Community Education as the School Readiness coordinator. About 15 years ago,
she starting teaching parent education classes and also became the ECFE coordinator. Along the way, she
earned her licensure for early childhood and parent education and a Masters of Education from the
University of Minnesota – Duluth.
Tamy and her husband, Greg are excited to move back to the Twin Cities area to be closer to their
families and to return to the place they call “home.” They have 2 adult children, Annmarie and Roy. They also
have a 9 year old pug named Lily who has a great sense of humor.
Tamy loves to fish in the summer and winter and she likes to read in her spare time. She also really
enjoys exploring restaurants, especially if they serve great coffee!
