Voith Turbo Drive Systems has the
objective of bundling and extending
the existing systems competence
concerning the drive lines of buses
and commercial vehicles. A center
of competence offers individual systems
solutions to manufacturers,
including electrical drives, gearboxes,
front and rear axles, suspension
systems and further components,
and even entire modules.
Voith Turbo Drive Systems has
extended the portfolio for bus drivelines
by developing a range of
completely new independent front
suspension which is also suitable
for truck applications – the Voith
T-joint suspension.
The Voith T-joint suspension eliminates
the disadvantages of existing
solutions making it a lighter, smoother
(dry park steering) and more stable
(roll stability) suspension than the
systems currently available.
The Voith T-joint is a solution which
integrates the steering and articulation
function in one T-shaped component.
By using standard roll and
thrust bearings the friction is reduced
to a minimum, providing easy steering
and smooth articulation.
