Tex-Color Betokontakt is intended for interior use on mineral
substrates (particularly concrete). Due to the low absorption ability of
concrete, render cannot be applied directly to this type of substrate.
Tex-Color Betokontakt is a plastic dispersion mixed with quartz sand
that is highly resistant to alkalis.
Tex-Color Betokontakt acts as a bonding layer between gypsum
render and substrates that are not naturally suited to the application of
render.Surfaces must be treated with Tex-Color Betokontakt before
application of gypsum or gypsum-lime render and/or application of dry
render.
Tex-Color Betokontakt is particularly recommended for use on in-situ
concrete formed in foil-lined shuttering or wholly concrete surfaces
constructed from construction parts or screeded precast concrete
sections.

The substrate must be bondable, dry, free of loose material, and free
from form-release agent and any further treatments.
Tex-Color Betokontakt is supplied ready-to-use and can be applied
undiluted using a short pile lambskin roller or mechanical spraying.
Water should only be added for mechanical spraying if necessary to
achieve a spraying consistency (max. 1 l water to 20 kg Tex-Color
Betokontakt).
Do not apply render until the Tex-Color Betokontakt ceases to be
tacky and is fully dry. Drying times will be correspondingly longer
during cool or damp weather.
The period of time between the Tex-Color Betokontakt being fully dry
and starting with rendering should be kept as short as possible in
order to avoid build up of construction dust.
Approx. 300 ml/m² per coat on smooth, slightly porous surfaces.
Increase the amount appropriately for rough surfaces. Establish the
precise quantities to use by applying test coats.
Maximum of 5% using water
Clean tools with water immediately after use. Wipe off any unwanted
Tex-Color Betokontakt (overspray etc.) from surfaces as soon as
possible with water. Dried material can only be removed using
mechanical methods.
Further coatings can be applied after approximately 24 hours (+20° C
and max. 65% rel. humidity). Longer drying times are necessary at
cooler temperatures and higher humidity.
Application temperature The temperature of the substrate and the air must be above +5 °C
when the primer is applied and while it is drying.

Dry, cool, free from frost.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not inhale the spray mist. Ensure
that thorough ventilation is provided during application and drying.
Eating, drinking, and smoking should be avoided whilst working with
the paint. In case of contact with the eyes or the skin, immediately
wash off thoroughly with water. Do not allow the product to enter
sewerage networks/watercourses/ground soil. Advice for users who

Safety notice: EU limit value for this product (cat A/h):
30 g/l (2010). This product contains a maximum of 30 g/l VOC.
Containers should be completely empty before recycling. Dried waste
material can be disposed of as household rubbish. Containers with
liquid residue should be taken to a waste paint collection point. AVV
waste classification regulations disposal code no. 080112 (where
applicable).
