Welcome to Camp Meeting 2008. Our theme is “The Revelation of 

Jesus Christ ” During this Camp Meeting we will review the Revelation 

of Jesus Christ as presented in the Book of Revelation. Our focus will be 

on the connection between God and His people. The following quotation 

expresses the direction of our review. “One thing will certainly be 

understood from the study of Revelation- that the connection between 

God and His people is close and decided. A wonderful connection is 

seen between the universe of Heaven and this world” (Testimonies to 

Ministers and Gospel Workers p.114). 

We will review some of what is shared with us about the“ Throne of 

God”, “The Great Multitude That No Man Could Number,” Our Worst 

Enemy, What Happens When We Pray, the Two Women In The Book 

of Revelation, Rescued From Sin and Forever In the Divine Presence. 

These messages are intended to remind us that we are still connected 

with the Creator of the Universe. 

During Camp meeting 2005 we focused on the theme “More About 

Jesus”. In 2006 we journeyed from “Creation to Re-Creation”. At Camp 

Meeting 2007 we focused on “Getting Ready For Eternity” as we reviewed 

the history of the conflict of the ages. Today, June 6, 2008 we 

begin another journey together as we review some of “The Revelations 

of Jesus Christ” shared with us from the very presence of Divinity. 

My prayer, my goal, my aim is that we dwell in the Divine Presence 

as we journey together into “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” and 

concentrate on the connection between God and His people. I am so 

thankful the we are still connected to Divinity.

Pastor Juleun A. Johnson provides spiritual leadership 

to the Emmanuel SDA Church, Greenwood, FL, and 

the Maranatha SDA Church, Panama City, FL. He 

is the second son born to Elder J. Alfred and Paula Johnson 

in Columbia, MD, and an exclusive product of Adventist 

Education from 1st grade through graduate school. While 

attending Pine Forge Academy, Juleun distinguished himself as a student leader serving 

as Student Movement Chaplain and President. Subsequently, he was invited to the 

White House as part of a young leader initiative. 

Pastor Johnson is a 2001 graduate of Oakwood University, Huntsville, AL, with a 

Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. While attending Oakwood, he continued a student 

leadership role serving as USM Executive Vice President, Senior Class President, 

Chaplain’s assistant, and served as a pastoral intern under Dr. James Doggette at 

Madison Mission SDA Church. Also, at Oakwood, Juleun met the love of his life, the 

former Melissa Morrison of Toronto, Canada. According to him, “Heaven and earth 

rejoiced” on their wedding day, June 8, 2003. She is his best friend and companion. 

Later, he attended Andrews Theological Seminary, Berrien Springs, MI, and 

graduated, 2003 with a Masters of Divinity degree. While there, Pastor Johnson served 

as a pastoral intern at Straford Memorial SDA Church, Chicago, IL, Dr. Charles D. 

Joseph, Senior Pastor. 

After arriving in the Greenwood/Panama City, FL district, God has blessed the 

church with a 700% increase in attendance and growth. Previously, he served the Canton, 

Rolling Fork, Yazoo City, MS district for three years. With the Lord’s leading, Pastor 

Johnson has initiated and/or facilitated renovation programs at each church served. He 

conducts yearly evangelistic campaigns and leads many to a saving relationship with 

Jesus Christ. Juleun approaches his ministry from a holistic perspective; aptly put in 

three words: revival, nurture and restoration. 

Pastor Johnson serves the community in the following capacities: Community 

youth and family advocate, High School on-call grief counselor, and was asked to serve 

as special assistant to the Mayor in Canton, MS. He has served as radio speaker and 

has written articles that appeared in recent issues of Insight and Ministry Magazines. 

Mrs. Melissa Johnson has distinguished herself as an excellent teacher and 

missionary in the public school system. She too is a graduate of Oakwood and 

Andrews Universities. Together, they celebrate the birth of their first child, Morgan 

Elise, October, 2007. 

Along with pastoral duties Pastor Johnson enjoys meeting people, sports, and 

photography. His greatest desire is to meet Jesus in Heaven with his family in peace.n

GREETINGS! JESUS said, “I am the Alpha and Omega, The Beginning 

and The End, I am He, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the 

Almighty” (Rev. 1:8). 

JESUS came to reveal the Father so that we could become like Him. This 

week of seminars provided by the department of Women’s Ministries is a 

reminder of some of the key principles of the kingdom of God as taught by 

Jesus while here on earth. They include the principle of rest, mission, spiritual 

warfare, preaching the Gospel, true worship, as well as the principle of faith and 

works. 

To know God and to make Him known is our vision and these seminars 

are designed to do that and more. Come join us and learn how to be spiritfilled 

and battle ready. While we are committed to ministering to women, 

our seminars are opened to everyone…men and women. Do you long for the 

revelation of Jesus Christ to be manifested in your life? You will find that the 

anointed presenters will assist you in your quest and the Holy Spirit Himself 

will be your Enabler. “ And the Spirit and the bride said, COME.”

Back by Popular Demand! This class is designed to redirect behaviors in our Juniors 

that need developing or refining as they enter adolescence and head toward their teen 

years. It will help with the mental transitioning that takes place when boys “take shape” 

as young men and girls...well they literally “take shape” as young women. In a fun 

and exciting hands-on-environment. The awkward sting of properly making introductions, 

using table manners, having correct posture, practicing good personal hygiene 

habits, and calming boisterous behavior are age appropriately introduced. The learned 

activities will be highlighted at a grand culminating semi-formal banquet especially 

prepared only for the attendees of this class. What a great opportunity for our SCC 

junior-youth to blend and manifest the social graces [5th - 8th Gade only].

Part II of Charming Challenge, this fun, interactive and practical class will put Juniors 

to the real test. These young people will learn how to present themselves with 

confidence and authority Skills being taught include making introductions comfortably, 

how to dress properly for every occasion, and advance formal dining skills. They 

will discuss issues dealing with self-esteem and peer pressure, how to treat each other, 

adults, and senior citizens, age appropriate behavior, and Christian adolescent appearances. 

The learned activities will be highlighted at a grand culminating semi-formal 

banquet especially prepared only for the attendees of this class. What a great opportunity 

for our SCC junior-youth to blend and manifest the social graces [5th - 8th Grade

Zephon Lister is a native of New York City. He attended Southwestern Adventist 

University where he earned a BA in theology. He later attended Andrews University 

Theological Seminary and completed his studies before coming out to Loma Linda 

University where he earned his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently 

in the final stage of his doctoral studies in Marriage and Family Therapy. 

Pastor Lister is married to Crystal, his beautiful and vivacious wife and has 

three active boys. He has traveled internationally doing workshops and presenting 

family research Pastor Lister is a devoted husband, father, but most of all servant of 

God. He shares a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families, who feel

WJOU (90.1 FM), the Oakwood University Radio Station, will broadcast the Sabbath 

Worship Service each weekend. Listen all week to its quality Christian programming, 

music and announcements regarding camp meeting. 

Transportation 

A transportation service will be provided to and from the bus station and airport 

between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10 PM each day. For transportation the campus 

contact the South Central Camp Meeting Office: M-Th, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Fri., 

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Persons coming before or after hours given should hire a cab or 

arrange other transportation service. 

Accommodations Regulations 

Please do not move furniture from room to room. Kindly bring your own bed linen, 

towels, toiletries to camp meeting. Please do not iron on beds or floors-use laundry. 

Persons who damage furniture or other property will be required to pay for the 

damages before leaving the grounds. Parents are liable for damages caused by their 

children. Campers should leave their rooms clean and place all garbage/trash in outside 

container upon departure.

No children, 20 years old and under, should be left/dropped-off at camp meeting without 

responsible resident adult supervision (21 years old or above) in the dormitory rooms. NO 

EXCEPTIONS. 

The possession or use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages or illegal drug use is prohibited on 

the campground. 

Persons caught in illicit acts will be asked to leave the campground immediately. 

No rollerblades, bikes, skateboards or pets allowed on campus. 

No weapons, firearms etc. are allowed on the campground. It is a violation of the LAW. 

All parents are asked to see that their children obey the nightly 10:30 p.m. curfew.

Purchase meal tickets in Blake Center at the cafeteria beginning Friday, June 6 from 

8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sabbath meal Tickets should be purchased before 

Sabbath. You must have a ticket from cashier to be served!
